Great for the price November 11, 2008 Monty (UK) I have had these for several months and can honestly say that if you take a bit of time fitting them they generate a very good sound for the money.
Quality!! November 6, 2008 Mr. Jon Mark Winnard (Liverpool, England) What more can i say....... best 10 i think ive eva spend!!! Good sound, a good amount of bass!!! I didnt know what to expect with these but i was very surprised with the sound quality. Very comfortable to wear most of the day. Only one thing that bugs me is if u eat somethin that is going to crunch in ur mouth you will hear it. But on the whole, well worth the money!!
Amazing fit and amazing sound quality for a top notch price! October 29, 2008 N. SCOTT-JONES (Leeds, UK) When I bought these headphones, I was definitely wary about the quality of them because of the low price. I now realise there was no need to be. They fit great and they sound pretty good. Delivery by Amazon was quick and efficient as always. Another great buy! Great as MP3/iPod head/p alternatives. For the average, general listener.
cheap but not powerfull enough October 26, 2008 Leon 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Tried these out for the last week--very bassy but not enough high tones--seem to improve with use but do not have enough volume, wished i had bought the Sennheiser CX300's now --tried to save money but lost out in the end!
Good in some situations, horrible in others. October 26, 2008 R. Barnie (Gairloch, Scotland, UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been using Sony MDR-ED21LP Groove shaped earphones for most of a year and I have to say that the quality of sound I got from them was unbelievable. Not once did I stop to pay close attention to see if there was distortion simply because if I had, there wouldn't have been any. Having received my new Creative earphones I was expecting similar or better results and after testing them against my Sony's I have to say that the Sony's are much better. I know that some people have problems with the length of the cable, so did I, but if all you're wanting to do with your headphones is use them for an mp3 player then the length is fine. I should explain that I tested the earphones on the 30 Seconds to Mars song, Oblivion, and immediately I could hear problems at the top end. I tried listening to other songs by other bands on different albums (linkin park, fightstar, the used, funeral for a friend, attack attack etc) but the result was always the same, the crash cymbals, particularly in the chorus, were always horribly distorted. Right now however I am listening to drum and bass, namely Pendulum and the bass on the Creative headphones is simply fantastic and I can detect very little distortion in the song. This is at a comfortable listening level, however when I turn up the volume to a slightly less comfortable level the distortion kicks in and I mean a full Chuck Norris roundhouse kick to the face! The Creative's simply cannot handle it, my Sony's on the other hand can...or at least they could if they could reach below my desk to where my headphone-in socket is on my computer without me having to bend at an unbearable angle. In conclusion if you listen to rock music or heavy metal then these are definitely not the headphones for you. My advice? Spend a bit more money on the Sony MDR-ED21LP Groove shaped earphones (price at time of writing is 12.20 new from Amazon). However, if you listen to drum and bass then these headphones will be absolutely fine unless you plan to put the volume past 6 out of 10. I'd still recommend the Sony's though. An additional note for anyone who has trouble getting standard earphones (like you would get with an mp3 player) to fit in your ear properly: I have always had this problem but the Sony's have been perfect from day one and the Creative's, once you find the right sized earbuds, will stay in your ear so well you won't even notice that you have them in!
