does the job .....good value October 23, 2008 Carl Johnson (Aintree, Merseyside United Kingdom) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've been toying with the idea of either buying sport headphones like these or go for close ear headphones for the gym an i decided to go for these due to the weight of them. Reading other peoples reviews pretty much sold me on them so to speak and after getting them home and testing i can say im farily pleased. Sound quality wise theyre fairly good, especially for the price and theyre definetly lightweight, my biggest concern was whether they stayed in place while running and im pleased to say theyre perfect for that. As everybody is saying theyre ideal for the gym or if u road run. Back to the quality, some people have said the treble an bass frequencies were good well my opinion is the treble is nice and clear but the bass is fairly light, i suppose the design restricts them as im used to using the excellent bud ear peices sony supply with their mp3 players which are superb for quality. Mustn't complain too much as they do exactly the job they were purchased for. Incidentally if u intend on buying these for running i seriously suggest u buy also a good quality armband to put your mp3 player in so the wire is not jumping all over the place, once you have that you wont look back pardon the pun!! Summarising, ill knock 1 star off for the lack of bass in sound reproduction but besides that theyre excellent. 4 stars.
Good For The Gym October 21, 2008 Shah Chowdhury (UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Sennheiser, a name associated with quality headphones, have produced a decent pair here which will take the punishment and movement that you do in the gym or outdoors. I haven't encountered problems with chafing on the collar or neck but I have found that after about an hour the earbuds tend to pain me somewhat. Its bearable but is this down to 2 reasons lack of cushioning around the speakers and my ear canals. Its probably worth checking before you buy to see how they will fit you as with any product of this type you want a snug fit but not too snug! The sound is decent and delivers adequate bass to keep you pumped but the treble can find itself a little poor in delivery in the high end of some dancier tracks. Its not too much of a problem and usually you're concentrating on other things rather than the finer points of sound quality. When its comes to background noise, it blocks it out pretty well keeping it to safe levels (for the outdoors!) and generally feels encompassing. The frame is robust, light and can take some hits. The material will take your sweat and not be damaged. Wire length is good without being obtrusive and a clip is supplied as is de rigeur with these sorts of products. All in all a good set of headphones that I am generally happy with and barring the slight fitting concern I would recommend it to everyone.
Excellent headphones, perfect for me.... October 21, 2008 D. Saddington (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These headphones are spot-on. Lightweight, fit snug and comfortable, even after a couple of hours. Sound quality is good with plenty of volume. However they dont fit the wife at all, though she is quite small, and has has problems with any sports headphones we've ever bought. Buy them today, you wont be disapointed.
They work fine for me. October 13, 2008 David Eaton (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Used down the gym. Running, weights, situps etc... and they stayed in my ears. The colour is a tad bright, but I can't see them when they are in, so I don't care. I prefer these to two seperate speakers stuck in my ears (I mean like normal headphones that have no head support). Good sound, not perfect, but good enough to take my mind off the pain that the cross trainer is giving me.
