If you`re bored September 2, 2007 zivi browning (london) 1 out of 12 found this review helpful
When I got my first iPod from my brother as a birthday present, I was very excited about the prospect of cariying all my music with me wherever I go. But as time went on I learnt that you really had to be a geek to be able to work the bloody thing. The earphones [which they claim are `THE ones to have`] were crackling and distorting after a while and even after I switched them for a new set they continued distorting like there was no tomorrow. I wanted to get some iTunes online, but when I found out about the price I wasn`t so keen and thought I`d better stick to CDs who`s songs are cheaper [most of the time]. Then I realised the way in which I could really use the iPod, and which saved it from a 2 star rating: you buy some rip-off cables, hook them up to your sterio, attach the iPod onto the other end and bob`s your unkle: you have nearly 1000 songs playing randomly out of loud speakers; so was it great? No. at first it was fun, but then once I got bored of the songs and tired of the annoying little buttons I started putting CDs on because I couldn`t face the strain of messing about with the iPod even , or paying for more iTunes. minute longer than I had to.Since then it has come to be a piece of modern history, waiting for when I will become a nerd. I will say however that the memory is pretty big, but to tell you the truth if I were you, I`d save up to buy some good CDs rather than this semi-waste of time.

Lives up to the hype June 28, 2007 K. Saunders (London, UK) 9 out of 11 found this review helpful
I've just been given a 4gb hot pink nano as a work leaving present after using my old pda (windows media) and Sony Ericcson (walkman) mp3 players for some time. I managed to set up the nano and add five music albums onto it in 15 mins, with a stinking hangover the morning after my leaving do. The speed with which it tranfers music tracks from iTunes (which my husband had already set up for his iPod) is really impressive, especially compared to the transfer speeds on my old PDA and phone. iTunes itself takes a minute or so to boot but compared to software such as Sony's Disc2Phone it's a dream to use. The only tiny downsides are the fact that it doesn't automatically come with a case or screen protector but I don't think that detracts from the score = 5 stars!
iPod Nano - Brilliant! April 24, 2007 Haylee (UK) 21 out of 23 found this review helpful
I got one of these for my birthday, and ever since I got it i just can't stop listening to it (apart from when it's charging!). Setting up was kind of hard at first, but then I got it, and I put all of my songs from iTunes on to my iPod. The headphones that were supplied are pretty good, with good sound quality. The games are also great, if you have a lot of music, the music quiz is good. I spent at least 10 minutes one morning before school just playing it! The navigation menus are easy, and the click wheel is also very easy to get used to. A minor rant is the price, but I think it's better to get a high-quality iPod Nano for () than to get some really cheap unknown brand and then turns out it's just awful.
Great......once your up and running! February 19, 2007 D. Gill (Surrey, England) 15 out of 17 found this review helpful
The ipod nano is a great product with loads of good little extras such as being able to find out what the time is in Hong Kong or virtually anywhere in the world. The only problem is just getting started and all i had to do was go to the "add hardware" button and slightly upgrade our computer so it recognised the ipod but once that was done it was so simple and now listening to music on my ipod and downloading music is very simple. But overall a great product and would've been 5 stars if i hadn't had that sliht glitch at the beggining and also it froze once but hopefully that wont happen again.
