Great, but only if you have a strong PC April 15, 2008 BigJeff (Wales) 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
The original Sims was a decent game, but after playing it a couple of times it got boring. All you needed to do was make sure sims eat, slept, went to the toilet and showered. There were no rewards for doing anything else, nothing else happened. Which is why The Sims 2 is a much better game. Although it still has those really annoying motives which means there's always some need to fill while you're trying to get a skill point or something, there's a whole new gameplay. Sims have Wants and Fears, which now means there's actually a point to playing the games. You can play it in many different ways, try to drive your Sim insane by doing all his fears or gaining lots of money by marrying other sims and then bumping them off. Plus the clever tech stuff which means that you can have kids that look like you, choose aspiratinos for each Sim, plus better graphics, a ton more objects and lots of great music. Just make sure your computer can cope with it.
I just Love it April 13, 2008 C. Silva (England) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is one game that doesn't get me bored. It's fun and there are so many things you can do. I totaly love this game and can't wait for sims 3 to come out. Since i brought this game i have been playing it 24/7. I dont know i just like getting to the top of a career and makeing houses and sims and creating a family i like evrything about this game. I always buy the new expansion packs so that i can get new things and i also downlode houses and other thing from the sims website. I think this game is the best game ever made.
This is the ultimate PC Game of all time! April 5, 2008 Dizzy Izzy (Ireland) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Sims 2 is the most addictive PC Game ever. It is definetely the best PC Game in the world. First, you make a town-Name it- then build houses and add shops and resteraunts. Then you make your Sims[Sims are really just people] You have a huge choice of hair, face, clothes, personality-even make yourself! Then you move your Sims into a house. You control what they eat, who they meet, what job they get and so on. Your sims live from baby to elder and you help them along the way. I just make people, get them married, have a few kids and eventually die-But of coarse this paragrauph isn't big enough to write everything that happens in a Sims life-It's full of surprises. No matter who you are, what you like, It is guarrentied you will love Sims 2.
I love this game! March 19, 2008 A. Jones (UK) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
I had the first Sims and a couple of the expansion packs, and I got this when it came out. It is so addictive. The game is of course better with the expansion packs (and I have all of them!) and there are also packs for around 10 which come with more wallpapers, floorings, clothes, objects etc. (I have all of these as well!) I went on the game the other day to upload the new Freetime expansion pack, and I was on it from 9:30am to 4:30pm! You really don't realise how quickly the time flies!
Ok, I confess that I just don't 'get it'... February 5, 2008 P. Brown 7 out of 17 found this review helpful
So The Sims 2 'game' involves you having to make sure your Sims get up for work, go to work, eat, wash-up, go to the toilet (!), pay their bills, fill the fridge, shower and go to bed... and then do it all again... ...let's just say that again... ...make sure your Sims get up for work, go to work, eat, wash-up, go to the toilet (!), pay their bills, fill the fridge, shower and go to bed... and then do it all again... ...and again... ...make sure your Sims get up for work, go to work, eat, wash-up, go to the toilet (!), pay their bills, fill the fridge, shower and go to bed... and then do it all again... Are you bored yet? Yeah me too - and I used cut&paste to avoid RSI! So don't buy this 'game'. Whereas if this sounds like fun (!) get a 1-year-old - at least they are entertaining, as well as needing their bottoms wiping... I would write more, but I have to... shower and go to bed...
