Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear!

I had the pleasure of attending a children’s dance festival this weekend just gone, but as with anything there is always something that gets my goat and on this occasion it was the non-permitting of photographic equipment.

You have to ask whether this whole frikkin country has gone mad? There I am sitting with people who know me and who happy for me to take pictures when another parent mentions that the taking of pictures is nor permitted!

Other people?around agree with me that it is ludicrous that a parent/relative/friend cannot take a picture of their child at a dance festival – What is the world coming too?

What are the Tudor Rose event organisers thinking of? Who do they think is going to turn up, Ian Huntley?

I am so buggered off with these stupid rules that are put into place to protect us all! Who are these rules protecting? Children from their parents?

As if any weird freak paedophile has got the guts to visit a dance festival and not be noticed.

A freak kiddie fiddling scumster is going to stick out like a sore thumb. So why do event organisers insist that parents/friends/relatives cannot take a single picture of their child on stage – It is absolutely frikkin ridiculous. Consider this,

  • What is this was a child’s one and only time on the stage?
  • What if an elderly relative was unable to visit the festival but desperately wanted to see the child performing?
  • What is the parents want to present a keepsake to their child of their performance in years to come?

What if , what it, what if……………………….

According to the festival guide, anybody that was caught filming or taking a picture would have their child or affiliated dance school thrown out of the festival! What age are we living in? From where I’m sitting, I would say it is the damned dark ages!

Again, according to the festival guide, only an affiliated professional photographer is allowed to record any footage from the show. What are the organisers on? This is not the West End, this is a frikkin kids show, you know where children are meant to be having fun as well as having a life-building experience.

To top this off there was no official photographer taking stills or recording the event

How can a child reflect on what they have achieved in their childhood, if parents are not allowed to take a photograph of them in costume or actually performing.

This country is so PC mad and money-orientated; people are consumed with greed and freaks.

I think the Tudor Rose’s greedy organisers are playing on the weirdo element to try and cash in and rake more money from parents – This is pure exploitation and it has to stop!
