Why Buy Designer Clothes?

That is the question, why buy designer clothes? What’s the point, is is worth it? Wearing designer clothes doesn’t make you a better person, after all look at the idiots who wear Burberry, enough said!

But as a culture we have fascination with designer clothes. There’s the Essex clan who are chomping at the bit to get a new born baby kitted out in the very latest Next or Baby Gap clothing. But what’s the point? It’s a load of bollocks, who gives a flying fuck what a baby wears as long as it is warm and comfortable? But we all buy this shit, dont we!

It’s no wonder there is a label mentality in kids, it’s thrust upon them by friends and relatives even when the blood is still dripping off from coming out of the womb!

But think on, what about all the poor children that are affected by the hordes of people that buy this shit?

Who cares that their parents may be working 18 hours a day in some sweatshop for fuck all pay?

After all, it doesn’t affect us does it, as long as little Jonny looks the part.

Frankly, it all sucks and it’s all wrong.

It’s no wonder there is no much bullying in our schools. Part of the problem is Designer Clothes, because little Jonny was made to wear designer clothes from Day 1, little Jonny grows up with the mentality that designer clothes rock, of course anyone that does not subscribe to the then hordes of little Jonny’s beliefs will pick on those that choose not to wear designer clothes or simplay cannot afford to wear designer clothes.

So the first step to stamping out bullying in schools is to not allow anything other than strict school uniform, and if a child did not wear the correct uniform their parents would be fined - How fucking easy it that?

So back to my rant on Designer Clothes, and the reasons why we buy.

Well that’s easy - We buy designer clothes to look good, we wear them to make us feel better about ourselves and to make us stand-out.  If you want a shag, what are you going to do? Go out in shitty old clothes? Of course not, we all get scrubbed up and throw on the best clobber. Even MrsCrip knows she’s in for a rare treat when I have had a shit, shave and a shower.

If you are total anti-establishment then you probably don’t buy designer clothing; lets be honest for the rest of us what does it matter if we pay a bit extra for a clothing label?

Well think on the next time you are buying some Bench Clothing or Diesel Jeans because a parent and their children is probably going very hungry for you to wear the latest designer clothes!

But hey, what do we care, we look good and that will help us get laid!
