Very PC, Green PC’s not fit for dragons

Well the dragons were not Very PC tonight. I laughed my socks off with the kick-in that was given by Peter Jones.

You had to feel a bit sorry for the director of green pc suppliers Very PC who got a real mauling from Peter Jones who lets be fair does know a few things about technology (apart from the recent BT adverts)

Very PC - Green PCs

I am all for saving the planet, but I have to say I was with the dragons and how the muppet who was presenting the pitch thought he would come away from £250k for just 5% equity of the company was about as realistic as his claims of eco-friendly PC’s.

Very PC may be green pc’s, but they are not for dragon on Dragons Den.

Well well - so far not so good for VERY PC - was it

I love Dragons Den, I love the atmosphere, but tonight there could have been fisty cuffs !!

Very PC are not a brand, they own no IPR, they are nothing, what a shame, and addind to the shadow of our previous world class business sector.

I have a green Home Server, from UK based Tranquil PC - they don’t BS tehmselves - they just get on with good old fashioned excellent customer support, on their OWN products - which are excellent quality and silent - oh, and lower energy than Very’s offers - so I’m happy, unlike Peter (Very Embarrased)

There is so much chatter about Very PC; however they are turning negative PR in to positive PR.

You have to wonder if this was pre-meditated and a great piece of marketing at the expense of The Dragons?

Let’s face it, Very PC have all the marketing they need for the year without spending a single penny.

Savaged or not - Very PC are being talked about and that is publicity money cannot buy.

Peter Jones went off subject because Very PC were not targeting the antiquated “dumb terminal” server model that Peter Jones was talking about. I have a small business with several PC’s networked together. Each desk is about 100 watts. If Very PC’s computers are less than 30 Watts then they are considerably more green and would have a significant impact in the common peer to peer or PC desktop client based networking used by most businesses.

I recently found an old Compaq PC for a 24/7 task because it was just 50 watts!! and that took me a long time to locate. Why did nobody pick up on the fact that Very PC were claiming under 30 watts per PC which if true, is incredibly good.?

Yep, no doubt the twat director at the bent BBC manipulated it so the guy from Very PC looked stupid.

As you say if every PC in every home consumed 30 watts, there would be indeed by power savings.

So is it in fact Peter Jones who is going to be made to look stupid with his dumb terminal comparison.

How many people need a dumb terminal in their home?

Peter Jones, take the cap marked D and go and stand in the corner of the room.
