Tesco Life Insurance

You have to admire Tesco - They have recently registered huge profits of £2.5billion and they are still hungry for more. Tesco are no longer just a shop where you can do your weekly shopping. It’s far more than that.

Now at Tescos, you can buy Mobile Phones, Garden Furniture, Arrange a Loan and get Life Insurance.

Buying Life Insurance from Tesco, is very different from the old fruit and veg!

It always makes me laugh when I am driving about and I spot a Tesco lorry with the slogan ‘Every Little Helps’.

You are not wrong - with profits of £2.5 billion - every little does help, the shareholders of Tescos that is!

How many years ago would you have thought that your local supermarket would be selling Life Insurance?

Then it is indicative of today’s sell sell sell world, everyone is after our cash - and we seem willing to spend it! Here’s the thing, Tesco have an incredible amount of information upon their customers with their clubcards, the money men at Tesco know what makes us all tick and how best to get our money.

Tesco Clubcard is a great invention - money back for spending cash. I know my other half regularly gets vouchers sent every quarter (not that I ever see them).

So Tesco is giving us money back, to spend at Tesco and at the same time their intelligence levels in to our shopping habits is increasing. It’s all about putting more money in the Tesco tills. The more Tesco can get from its adoring public the quicker they will be reaching profits of £3 Billion a year, and who’s paying for this wealth? That’s right you and me.

I don’t think the masses realise the wealth of information the data analysts are ploughing through at Tesco in which to manipulate the cash from your pocket even further.

But why do so many take Life Insurance cover with Tesco? The cover is not underwritten by Tesco, it is underwritten by an established insurance company. And I am sure that if we shopped about we would potentially find a better deal. But of course we trust Tesco, we get our weekly shopping from Tesco and they send us cash vouchers every quarter.

This is why there are thousands of people that do use other services other than mainstream food which Tesco established itself.

For those of you who think Tesco is too big for their boots, go shop somewhere else, but then again, don’t Sainsbury also sell life insurance? It makes no difference where you shop, the corporates are after your cash, and in one way or another they will get it!
