Star Wars has a new Jedi Master
It’s Star Wars heaven at Crip Towers; for ages now I have been promising myself that I would treat myself to a pair of collectible Light Sabres, and now I have.
So now battle has commenced between Darth Vader and Obi Wan Kenobi - Awesome! For anyone who has never seen the light sabres, you can see the videos on Firebox, although I ordered mine from Play as they were considerably cheaper! I was a bit gutted mind, the Darth Vader Light Sabre was fucked when I took it out of the box.
The Light Sabres come with wall mounts that I intend to use, although Mrs Crip is not too impressed with that - but then who gives a shit about that, these suckers are awesome and they are going up on a wall inside Crip Towers.
As soon as the batteries are in you find yourself itching to turn these Star Wars toys on! One push of the on/off switch and whoosh - the blade bursts into life with colour and the distinctive light sabre hum fills the environment. The hilt on the blades are well detailed although I do wonder how long that will stay in tact for!
One of these Star Wars Light Sabres is fun, but to have two of them is where the real fun lies; even Mrs Crip found them vaguely amusing, although I doubt she will when I am hovering over her later with my Darth Vader mask on and sword at the ready - In fact I wonder if she has ever been bummed by light sabre point? At least the glow of the sabre allows easy access in!
I expect the Light Sabres to get a bit of a caning tomorrow night after a the Champions League Final and a few beers. Let’s just hope the force is with Rafa’s mighty reds.
If you are after a serious gadget, you can do no worse than a collectible light sabre, right now I’m off to slay some idiotic council workers or the odd wanker taxi marshall from Worthing (who has nothing better to do an a weekend evening) with my pretend light sabre, now where’s my brown hoodie?
