Same Old Same Old This Christmas

Del Boy, Rodney and Albert with their less than reliable Reliant Regal Christmas is upon us once again so its time for TV companies to dust off the old Christmas specials and bore us into submission with the same old rubbish. However there is one repeat that I do enjoy and that is the classic British sitcom Only Fools and Horses.

It was back in 1996 that public demand led to the production of a classic Only Fools and Horses trilogy. On Christmas day over 21 million people tuned in to watch Del boy and Rodney trying to shift a load of Latvian alarm clocks. Finally they end up attending a wake in their less than reliable old yellow Reliant Regal dressed as Batman and Robin. Absolutely hilarious!

Their old yellow Reliant Regal was eventually auctioned at Coys Spring Class auction held at the Royal Horticultural Hall in London. Complete with the famous ‘Trotters Independent Trading Co. New York, Paris, Peckham’ logo it was expected to make around 20,000. It finally sold to an anonymous buyer for a staggering £44,227.50. There can’t be many old vans that would make this kind of money. Is this the same one that Ricky Hatton proudly drives around Hyde with a blow-up love doll in the passenger seat?

If you are looking to save money on a high quality commercial vehicle you might like to check out the van leasing deals available from Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
