Rob Styles, The closet Chelsea Supporter
Well thanks to Rob Styles for letting lucky Chelsea off of a defeat at Liverpool today. That was one of the most shambolic displays of refereeing that I have seen, and that says a lot because the Premiership referees do make some catastrophic cock-ups.
I’m really getting pig sick of these glory hunting pillocks getting their decisions so incredibly wrong.
Rob Styles incorrect decision cost Liverpool all 3 points today. Rob Styles performance at Liverpool today was awful. He must have been the only person in the ground who thought it was a penalty. So in cases where a decision is questionable why do the ‘Assistant Referee’s’ and the fourth official not intervene? Don’t give me that clap trap about it will slow down the game, footballers do that enough themselves when they feign injury, and there is too much of that as well, but that deserves a blog in its own right.
I honestly think referees are killing the game of football, what is the point of watching a game of football between two well-matched sides when a referee gives an unfair and incorrect advantage to one of the teams? That is what happened today. If Chelsea had equalised through hard work and enterprise, then fair enough. The fact Chelsea equalised because of a useless referee makes my blood boil. It makes the contest uneven, it made today’s contest
Sure, we all make mistakes, but Rob Styles decision was not a mistake, it was a miscarriage of justice!
The buffoon Rob Styles declined to be interviewed by Sky following the game. I wonder why that was? Was it because the feckless idiot made a decision that in months to come could have a bearing on the Premier League title? Is it because the stupid incompetent referee that is Rob Styles knew he was going to get slaughtered for such a stupid decision.
Why should referees be able to hide away? What a weak man Rob Styles must be.
I won’t elaborate on the Essien, Terry incident - TV cameras showed clearly that idiot Rob Styles showed Michael Essien a second yellow card.
Even ex-bluenose Andy Gray was completely baffled by the decision, so you know then it was the wrong call by Rob Styles.
Referees annoy the hell out of me, they ruin games of football. Rob Styles ruined the game between Liverpool and Chelsea this afternoon. Why do these buffoons get it so wrong, so often?
Here’s the problem, football needs referees, without them the game cannot go on. But with the poor crop of referees we have in charge of premiership matches, it is fair to say they are ruining the game of football.
Florent Malouda ran into Steve Finnan, that was it, it was a collision. I could see it, anyone who watched the match could see it, the visually impaired Liverpool supporters could see it, hey I think even Elvis Presley could see it - It was so obvious.
Rob Styles should put his hands and confess he got it wrong, but he won’t, and why is that? It’s because these referees think they are bigger than the game, they like to be the centre of attention. Well Mr Styles, you should be the centre of attention. You should be the centre of police attention, because the penalty decision you gave today stank and anything that stinks that much should be investigated.
I’ll stop short of calling you bent, but seriously you need to question your role as a referee, based on today’s performance you should give up!

Styles certainly made a blunder there - in fact he was terrible all game! Referees seem to have a penchant for awarding dodgy goals in this fixture - I remember a couple years back Luis Garcia was awarded a goal even though replays clearly show the ball was nowhere near over the line. Even worse was that said incident happened in the Champions League semi-final!
But it’s not just the referees who are at fault - the authorities are the people who make the rules - and why oh why they don’t introduce cameras on the goal line is beyond me.
Of course the snide, overpaid cheats who play the game should take flak for this stuff as well - if they weren’t diving around (see Fernando Torres from the Liverpool game) all the time and trying to cheat then the referees wouldn’t have such a hard timein the first place.
All in all - football isn’t what it used to be - it’s almost a laughing stock of a sport these days - what with all the overpaid pansies we see now.
