Racism - Racists change your ways

For any pretend racists out there I think it is high time you sat-up and smelt the coffee.

Racism is a total load of horse manure and racists are nothing other than poisoned souls who are so out of touch you’d think there hands had been chopped off.

I defy any normal person to watch Remember The Titans with Denzel Washington - It’s an absolutely fantastic film which is based on a true story.

Remember The Titans MrsCrip started watching this the other day and I have to say that within about 60 seconds I found myself captivated and ended-up going to bed a lot later than I really wanted.

The film really gets you thinking, and with all the racial intolerance that still festers, you really have to wonder why.

The reason people get so fed-up with foreigners coming to the UK is because it appears that strangers to our shores get so much more than the people of the UK who have put in for years and years.

If anything in the UK it is the indigenous population which always appears to get the short straw, and this for me is the principal reason as to why anyone coming to the UK for a better life faces racial intolerance.

The other factor is the authorities seem determined to dispel nation identity which has a knock-on effect as it is stripping away our national identity.

Remember The Titans highlights the fact much of the reason for racism is simply because people are scared of anyone that is different to themselves.

Racism is not difficult to tackle, but racism will only start to be tacked once the useless government stop giving the country away.

Totally agree with you (as per usual), too many people use immigrants as an excuse to explain and justify their own failings! I seem to remember Mr Black’s anti Polish tirade on this site a few months ago and thinking how many people have such low self confidence and self esteem that they see hard working and mostly decent people as a threat to their way of life!

I don’t really understand what you are trying to say.

As houses become empty in my area, street in fact, they are being snapped up by east europeans. Either they buy them, or the Council buy them to house the poor ones.

I object strongly to this because we have young couples in the town who have been waiting for a council house for a long time. I object strongly to the Government allowing unrestricted immigration. I do not hate the immigrants, just our corrupt government

If I could find a “land of milk and honey” that would welcome me with a free house and force money into my hands I most certainly would travel halfway round the world to get there!

Because I object to living amongst people who are totally different to my culture and way of life, who don’t even bother to learn my language, does this make me a RACIST in your eyes?

Sorry, my partner just corrected me. It’s not the Council buying the houses (she works at the Council Offices), it’s local asians who then rent them to the Poles, Rumanians etc.

My partner is from Trinidad by the way.

Keith, what is trying to be said is this: Anyone who discriminates against someone because of their race is small minded and ignorant, I accept that you are not, however it is a fact now that this country is a multi racial country and the East Europeans you talk of are not here illegally, under European law they have every right to travel and live here, as much of a right as you have of ging to live in Spain, France Italy ,Poland etc..and wether you choose to work,live or retire to the sun, that’s just the way it is! Actually in fact if you look back in history, Britain has always been a place where people have migrated to, from the celts, Angles, Saxons, Vikings, Romans, Hugenots, Jews etc, etc..
