Where on earth are the French and German translations? they are both staple languages, they’re the most taught in our UK schools and they are our long-standing European counterparts. Why the hell are we translating into 15 variations of Arabic but not French? This is beyond a joke.

Check the NHS who offer Arabic, Bengali, French, Gujarati, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Panjabi, Somali, Spanish, Turkish, and Urdu. Obviously discriminating against the Cantonese, the Kurds and the Russians.

Who’s doing the translating and who’s paying for all this? I’d love to see the logs just to find out how many people actually do access the site in Arabic.

Only nerds learn Klingon and you can still discriminate against them, as well as gingers and the overweight/underweight.

Of course it’s only government agencies and their proxies that have to accommodate a dozen different languages (who decides which ones though?). Perhaps it should be extended to the printed media too; it would be interesting to see the Daily Wail in Polish, or the Diana Express in Arabic.

Phil, good point about who’s paying for these translations!

It’s fairly obvious that it’s us English-speaking citizen’s hard-earned tax money that’s financing this debacle! And of what benefit to us? To encourage immigrants to come over and force our rent prices higher, salaries lower and taxes higher still!!!

I’ve had enough of this left-wing commie bullshit, if the government doesn’t start listening to the unheard majority soon alternate measures will need to be investigated.

I thought that the idea of democracy was the people controlling the government, not vice versa. I’m yet to meet a single Englishman that’s in favour of a single major government decision made in the last 5 years. European union, Iraq war, open borders, identity cards… the list goes on and on and on. The only thing we can do to counter this movement is an increase in political awareness for future generations, but I can’t see that being taught on secondary schools can you?

If you can’t beat em join em, time to start looking for another country to live in.

Did you know that working EU immigrants with children in their home countries can claim Child Benefits for those children from OUR government? Yet another preposterous irk to add to list. All the while I can’t even afford a mortgage for a flat on a higher-than-national-average salary!

I agree Crips, I agree. It doesn’t stop there either. There are now more DVD’s in some paki language in my local library than there are English language DVD’s.
