Labour’s answer to gun crime - A Gun Amnesty!
Hold the press; Gordon Brown and Jacqui Smith have had a brain storm and have found the way forward in tackling gun crime - A gun amnesty.
Now have we not had gun amnesties before? Well they really worked then didn’t they!
Did we not also have an amnesty for knives not so long ago? Isn’t there more knife crime than ever? Are people not being stabbed to death with increased frequency?
Why do these stupid politicians believe that giving anonymity is going to make the criminal fraternity of this world give up their weapons? Of course its not.
Criminals are not going to give up these weapons because the idiotic Gordon Brown and Jacqui Smith put a rubbish bin in a Police Station with ‘no questions asked’.
If this is the best that Jacqui Smith and Gordon Brown can some up with; then we really are in trouble.
How about this as law. Ban firearms completely.
If you are then found to have illegal firearms your hands would then be amputated, simple! Show the amputations live on TV, make an example of these scum that are murdering inncocent people.
Britain needs proper deterrents, not ineffective amnesties!
And Jacqui what is with the tears? Do you think the criminal fraternity are left quaking in their boots when they see you close to tears? Like hell they are. They see you as weak and to be fair so do I. Only the very coldest of people could fail to be moved by the needless death of Rhys Jones. It is these cold people you have to target, only then will you start winning the war.
Your tears are fake and for the voting masses; my goodness you politicians are so false. I cannot understand why more people do not see politicians for what they really are - Actors!
Jacqui, you are meant to be a leader, you are meant to be showing people who is boss. The only thing that you are displaying is that you are weak and you are powerless to stop the scum.
Jacqui Smith’s response to the death of Rhys Jones is as toothless as most new born babies.
When are the politicians going to realise that only hard-core measures are going to change things? Until then more innocent people and children like Rhys Jones are going to die.

I just happened to turn the tv on tonight at the start of the Liverpool game and saw the tribute being paid to “Rhyss Jones”. It was the familys wish to have the theme tune from Z Cars played for their son.
The picture of them standing there united in their grief will stay with me for a long time to come. How poignant that he was’nt there to share the moment, but he was there in their hearts and the hearts of the people of Liverpool.
