Gavarment is a Bulsheet
If you’ve watched the news recently you will have seen all the stories and heated interviews regarding the recent defense budget cuts and all the government shite that comes along with any such announcement, otherwise known as ‘excuses’.
For some strange unknown reason the government have said that they ‘cant afford’ MoD spending, despite the budget raise last summer which suggested that they clearly could afford it. As a result aircrat carriers are being delayed (again) armoured vehicles are in the balance as to whether or not they’ll be produced at all now, and the RAF have been denied numerous new aircraft along with reports of eliminating some existing squadrons altogether.
The MoD have received cuts in the region of £2.1 Billion pounds, a significant amount of money by anyone’s standards.
So here’s the part I don’t understand. The government can’t afford £2.1 Billion for essential MoD electrical components, aircraft carriers, fuses, and all the other essential equipment that needs to go to Iraq……….. but Northern Rock just got GIVEN £50 Billion to………. um……. oh thats right, for nothing.
Its funny how labour politicians are more concerned with rescueing their investments in a complete sham of a bank, than they are concerned with providing the troops in Iraq fighting THEIR war with equipment that they so desperately need.
United Kingdom - Capitalist Nation - Gavarment is a Bulsheet
In closing, I did NOT elect Gordon Brown as Prime Minister of this country, no one did, so what the HELL is he doing in Parliament.

My nephews son joined the army recently and he told me that the camp where he did his square bashing was practically deserted, there were only 4 “intakes” (about 22 men in each) for the 6 weeks he was there, and at his next training depot (weapons training) there were very few soldiers about and most of the barrack blocks were locked up and not being used! The training NCO’s spent most of their time in the mess because they had nothing to do. I wonder if this is due to “defence cuts” (no soldiers wanted or needed) or whether recruitment has dropped off because of the illegal wars in Afghanistan and Iraq?
