Choosing the right Travel Insurance cover

Choosing the right Travel Insurance policy is an important part of booking and arranging a holiday. Select the wrong cover and you could be landed with expensive medical treatment or legal costs should the worst happen.

The Motley Fool has written an interesting article on the selection process, and measures that can be taken to ensure the cover you take out is the correct one, and highlight how December can be an expensive month to make a claim, with a broken leg in France potentially costing up to £5,000 for treatment.

The article details certain instances where you may struggle to obtain a reasonable quote, or any quote at all, including those over the age of 65 and those with pre existing medical conditions.

It really does pay to shop around and compare quotes, but also important to note that it is not just the price of the policy itself you should look at but should also look into exactly what you will be covered for.
