CheapTravelInsurance.com is it the cheapest site for Travel Insurance?
Question: What’s the difference in an adjective and a verb in the world of Travel Insurance?
Answer: Quite a lot
Why do I ask? Well I’m on a quest to promote the business that does genuinely offer Cheap Travel Insurance. What’s in it for me? Nothing, I have a bee in my bonnet about the claims companies make in order to get business, and here we have a prime example of flattering to receive.
Case in question: cheaptravelinsurance.co.uk - The domain name suggests you are going to get nothing but cheap travel insurance from this site, but is that right? Well yes, the site does offer cheap travel insurance, but it does not offer the cheapest travel insurance. At this time the honour of the cheapest travel insurance goes to Travel Insurance Direct, and this is where the verb comes in. The adjective used to promote travel insurance works, one automatically believes you are going to get ‘cheap travel insurance’. Not so.
I ran a test on both sites to see which of the two would offer a bog standard family of four the best travel insurance deal, the destination being Europe between 27th July and 13th August 2007.
CheapTravelInsurance.co.uk - ?45.52
Travel Insurance Direct - ?42.00
Now you can say there is little in this price and you would Be right; which is why I would urge you to look at the policy, because you are getting a lot more for your cash with Travel Insurance Direct. So much so, the similar deal on cheaptravelinsurance.com costs more in the region of ?57.
It is a case of not all travel insurance is the same; there is a lot of choice in the market and you have to make sure you are getting the right deal and the use of an adjective such as ‘cheap’ in the travel insurance domain name does guarantee the cheapest travel insurance, only that you will get ‘cheap travel insurance’.
