I bought this about 8 months ago after my old reliable Phillips shaver finally packed in. It is without doubt the most frustrating shaver I've ever had. Whilst I could easily shave off 2-3 days worth of growth in less than 5 minutes with my old shaver, this takes at least 12-15 minutes to clear a day's worth, and even then there are odd hairs sticking up which refuse to go without another 3/4 minutes worth of trying from every direction and with every type of head (and sometimes not even then)! The foils are also very fragile and I'm currently on my second one, and that's developed a few gaps which, needless to say, scratch like mad. I'll have to stick with it for a bit as I can't afford a new shaver yet, but when I can, I'm going back to Phillips.

I bought shaver in January 08 because I liked my previous Remington and because it runs a long time between charges. But disappointed that one of the foils (after 6 months) needs replacing, the small foil does not really work that well and it takes longer to shave because only the edge foil on the opposite side to the small foil is really effective. If you're patient it gives a good shave. The question is now do I buy a new foil or a new shaver?

This razor is only good if you have about half an hour to shave every time. You cannot get completely shaved by this razor in less time. Admittedly once it finally does shave you it is a close shave but still you could probably take all the hairs out with a razor in this time
