I plugged in my new Braun Oral-B 7500 DLX toothbrush at 4.0pm on Thursday and it is now 11.30 am on Sunday and the light is still flashing. Several reviewers have commented that the time taken to charge their tooth brush was more than 16 hours but has anyone else's taken this long? Perhaps there is something wrong with mine.
I bought it to replace my previous one which I loved, when it finally gave up the ghost. It is a good job that I have another one to fall back on!
If and when I get to use it I may award more stars, at the moment I have no idea how good it is.

Braun are the Kings of Electric Toothbrushes! I have used a number of electric toothbrushes and never knew what the fuss was until I got this one.
I previously had the 7500 and it was great. My teeth had never felt so clean and my dentist also agrees. I once forgot to take it abroad and had to use a manual toothbrush and for a week my mouth and teeth just weren't the same. I've got so many of my family & friends into using an Oral B electric and now they all thank me for it. I kindly gave the 7500 to my little niece as she was still using a manual toothbrush and decided to reward myself with the 8500 for my good deed.
As great as the 7500 the 8500 is better. Its even more powerful, the oscillations are smoother and the extra heads are very useful. I used to use the normal head to manually brush my tongue and found that the head was wearing very quickly as a result of this. With actual tongue cleaner this has taken away that need. I can't recommend this enough -its worth every penny.

I was very pleased with this tooth brush when I first got it. After a week of owning it I knocked it onto the floor. Come on who hasn't knocked their electric tooth brush on the floor? Their tall shape and small base make them unstable at the best of times.Anyway I digress. The casing cracked arond the top and bottom after this one knock, water got in; end result dead tooth brush. Only buy this brush if you are the most careful of people, otherwise it is alot of money to buy something that is so willing to fall apart after being dropped.

I upgraded to this toothbrush having used Colegate's battery powered toothbrush for the last 3 years, only wish I had done so earlier. The braun is in a different league for quality and performance, for the first time my teeth feel really clean and visually look cleaner. If you have been thinking of buying a powered toothbrush you will not be disappointed with this model. Only downside is that it might remind you of the dentist's drill, but on the otherhand with continued use you may become more relaxed at your next visit. Get your spare brushes through ebay, but the actual toothbrush is a steal from Amazon. Happy brushing!

This was my second electric toothbrush (the first was also a Braun, so I must have been satified with the first). The 7500 was brilliant. My teeth both felt and looked cleaner than with my first brush, which was in itself a great improvement on the previous manual brush.
Unfortunately after about 11 months the brush stopped dead! (...)
I have only been able to give this 3 stars because of the failure. If it had not failed it would have got a full 5 stars
