This drive didn't work out of the box. I packaged it up in the original box, with all the cables, disks etc. LaCie insisted I pay the return postage, which was 35! They failed to respond to repeated requests for a refund. When the drive was returned three weeks later, it was sent by itself in a plain brown box. I had to contact them to get the original box and contents returned.
I have always bought LaCie drives to date for my company, but that is definitely the last time.
