Clever machine ! September 8, 2008 M. Giordani (England) Upgrading from a compact point and shot and want to keep it simple? go fot it ! Want some more and thinking about get into photography more seriously ? Get yourself a DSRL (digital single lens reflex). Bought this camera for around 100 but I want to upgrade it already, the fact is that even if you use this camera in full manual ... well it isn't a SLR although very clever. I won't sell the camera away tho, my missus will make good use of it as sooo easy to use.
Good picture July 8, 2008 Anantasagar (UK) I bought this camera 3 months ago. Though I am very impressed with picture quality, the video quality is very poor. In fact, I am disappointed with video quality. Kodak camera with similar specification would produce much better video quality.
Fantastic camera! June 23, 2008 Andrea Kitzberger I have bought this camera back in March 2008 and have now had the chance to really make use of it during my holiday. I find it really easy to use, it produces excellent quality pictures, the zoom is really good, all ther other features are quite easy to understand, fantastic battery life, it is not too compact and is a good grip camera... I just love it. It's ideal for people who do not want to invest into a SLR. I don't think you can get another such quality camera for this price. I have also bought the associated Fuji case and unlike other people say I do think it fits quite well. Well there is really only space for the camera and nothing else. The only little downside of the camera is that the lens cap doesn't stay on very well. Please note that I am an amateur not a professional photographer but I would definitely buy it again and can recommend it to anyone.
Best in its leauge June 23, 2008 Baljeet Kang The camera is by far the best and cheapest in its segement (Bridge cameras). The camera gives yuo more than what you pay for and delivers the best possible way. I wanted to give 5 stars but Amazon messed about with the delivery, and gave me 3 different dates for delivery and then the camera arrieved on a sunday to my surprize. When i bought this on 28/05/08 the price was 97 (free delivery), now the price has gone up which is bit strange, however you can pick the same from ARGOS for 99.89 instead of the listed price on Amazon. I think if you looking ofr a camera which is easy to use or gives you that extra edge that the other compact cameras, then this is the one which can take close up shots of things as far as 1cm, with beautifull detail.
Fuji FinePix S5700 Digital Camera June 21, 2008 RB (Essex UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this camera a couple of months ago to replace my older 3.2mp Olympus. I chose it because it takes my existing SD cards, it has a powerful 10x optical zoom and a continuous shooting setting plus it takes standard AA batteries. I've found it be a very good camera for the money -it has a huge range of features, the lcd screen is large and clear, battery life is excellent and the viewfinder with a tiny internal lcd screen is v useful in bright sunlight. The disadvantages are that the plastic case feels a bit cheap (alhtough quite robust) and its too big to fit in a pocket (its looks like a SLR camera that has shrunk in the wash).
