 'HG' or 'SXT'? December 5, 2008

I couldn't decide whether to go for the 'HG' or 'SXT', so I got both :0)
They are both excellent and will not disappoint. It will only depend on looks and what iPod you have?
In MY opinion, the 'HG' is sexier looking but larger? The 'SXT' is much smaller/tidier and modern looking? The bass on the 'HG' is a little bit more rich and satisfying than the 'SXT', but it is a amazing that something the size of the 'SXT' can still push out a decent enough base? The 'HG' power consumption is much higher than the 'SXT'. They are both well made and at the current price are value for money. The choice is yours?

The sound from this unit was unexpectedly good
The range of the bass for such a small unit is incredible.
Clear and crisp mid and treble.
Looks great, portable and would recommend to anyone.
Yes ... there are better quality mobile speakers out there but not this size and certainly not for this price.

I purchased the Klipsch iGroove SXT base upon the reviews on this site and after listening to it and trying out all the the eq settings on the Ipod I have come to the conclusion that it is not that great.
Although for a very compact unit the performance is quiet good it only ever really sounds like a radio in the room and certainly does not fill the room with sound as others have described, nor does it have this really punchy bass that others have mentioned and I am surprised anyone could describe it as so, if it did it would certainly much improve the sound quality and make this well worth keeping.
I am returning mine and will be going out to buy the Bose SoundDock as this has a much more mellow and deeper tone and although nearly twice the price has the quality to justify the extra cost.
