Apple iPod 1st Generation Nano Dock

Before it was a bit of a pain getting the USB and getting everything hooked up. Now I just set my nano into the dock and I'm all set to go. I can do everything I want to do including hooking my nano up to a stereo while the docking bay charges the battery.

I agree with the other user who suggested that an ipod mini docking station would do the same job but if dont already have one then why not try this. I don't think you'll be disappointed

Whilst I'm sure the Nano dock is a nice piece of kit - it certainly looks it and most Apple products, of which I have many, do appear to have been consciously designed rather than simply having evolved from toasters - do you really need one? Having graduated (?) from an iPod mini, I find its dock to be perfectly serviceable for the Nano.

This is a very useful product to have as it fits on the end of your synchronisation cable and you can drop your iPod in it. Fantastic. It also has a Line Out port and this is where my minor quibble lies. What is the use of the Line Out port which is not effected by the volume control of the iPod? Sure I could plug the Nano into my PC and play the tunes on it through my PC speakers whilst the Nano is docked, but I've already got all my tunes on my PC, in iTunes. That's why the iPod is synchronising with it!!!! A headphone socket would have been much more useful. As things stand I have to put the iPod into the stand to sync/charge it and then take it out to listen to it on my headphones. Grrr... Apple, think about it!!
Another *minor* niggle. The iPod comes in black or white, so why does the dock only come in white? Given the choice, I'd rather plug my black nano into a blank dock.
