Protection good - visibility decreased November 9, 2008 J. Shaw Its a good case as it keeps your ipod as good as new, but it scratches easily so if you want to watch a movie or look at something closely you have to take the cover off.
Does the job, but not an excellent one... August 30, 2008 G. Yin (London, England) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product covers the iPod almost completely, which is good. It fits perfectly well, but I've had a few problems with it. The main issue I have with it is that the thin piece of plastic that covers the clickwheel hampers the sensitivity of the clickwheel by quite a lot. For example, playing Solitaire freezes up the clickwheel quite often. So when you're trying to move it in an anti-clockwise direction for example, the iPod would not respond at all. I would have to press the enter button, and then the clickwheel would work again. I've also noticed that it would be very difficult to clean the bit of plastic that covers the clickwheel. This area of the cover will obviously be used the most, so it tends to get a bit dirty. But since you can't remove that part of the cover or anything, it is very hard to clean properly. Another problem I have with this case is that the bottom of the cover protudes about 2mm too much at the bottom. This means when I place the iPod in my docking station, it wouldn't fit unless I took out the universal dock on the docking station. Also, my car radio has a wire that connects to the main port of the iPod at the bottom (not the headphone jack), but it will not fit into the iPod with the case on as it is unable to reach far enough to connect with the iPod properly. So, if you don't mind having the clickwheel being slightly less unresponsive, and you definitely know you'll only be using the USB cable/headphones that came with the iPod, then by all means go for it. I myself have just received a new iPod nano case this morning. It is the NanoShield for iPod nano 3G - Clear made by Agent 18. Search for it on Amazon. It's very slightly more expensive, but the clickwheel is not covered so it's easier to navigate through the iPod. Now I can use the clickwheel much more easily and it no longer freezes. Also, it does not protrude at the bottom of the iPod, so it will fit all my various docks and wires without me having to take the cover off.
Really Good April 30, 2008 Kathy (UK) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought this case about a week ago. I really like it because it protects the entire iPod (unlike the other cases I saw, which do not cover the click wheel). On its first day of usage it got a bit scratched, but I am really happy that it was the case that was damaged and not my iPod (so I totally recommend it!). It really protects it and you don't even need to take it out of the case, you can connect the headphones and the dock while still being in the case. It indeed adds a bit of bulk to a really small gadget, but it is much better than getting it damaged. And I also love the fact that it is clear, so it does not mess up the colour of the iPod. A really recommended thing to buy if you want to keep your iPod in perfect state.
This is a good product March 8, 2008 Susan Britteon 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I was really surprised when i got a parcel today! i order it on the 3rd March and it came on the 8th! it only took 5 days! i was so delighted as i needed it for my holidays which is in a weeks time! when i was looking on amazon for a hard clear case i found this product! it is a good product as it covers all the ipod nano apart from the bottom where you put your headphones and etc you can also acsess the wheel as it has a thin cover over it and protects it from getting mucky! I find this product very usefull! The only reason why i put 4 stars was the posting and packaging was quite exspensive! but if you look anywhere else this is still the cheapest!
Solid Little Case January 14, 2008 sk8erkeef (UK) 21 out of 22 found this review helpful
Excellent. Solid clear plastic case which covers the entire nano (except for a slit at the bottom for the headphone socket, docking port and lock button). The case completely covers the screen and also covers the click-wheel (which can still be operated through the thinner plastic). It comes in two halves which click together and never need to be removed again. I always preferred the soft silicon cases until my son bought this. Recommended. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it does add a little bulk to an otherwise tiny ipod - still, better than getting it scratched. I bought mine from Currys in town - Don't forget that if you buy from these Marketplace sellers you'll be paying another 5.00ish for postage.
