3 out of 5 stars average, range no where near quoted   November 23, 2008
K. Berry
Overall an ok product. set up fairly straight forward. My biggest complaint are the total lies displayed on the box about range. I am fully aware wireless is very dependent on conditions / type of house / walls etc, but I cannot understand netgear telling such fibs when customers will easily find out the truth when they get home and set up the router.
Much better to be honest - Netgear take note.
I reckon range indoors can be as low as 30 feet(straight line), go beyond 50 feet and no chance. whereas the box says 200 to 400 feet!
I have nothing to compare against, as I haven't used other routers, so perhaps this is a common problem?

5 out of 5 stars Signal at last!   October 24, 2008
Mr. Steven W. Luffman (UK)
Used to have a Belkin N Wireless router which cost more than this and download speed was slow and it was constantly dropping out as i am on the ground floor in an extension. Bought this router and it is the best purchase i have made signal strength is always good and it never drops out I recommend this Netgear router has solved all of my connection problems!.

Glad I got it. Bought refurbished model. Read all the reviews. Sat down one Saurday pm and .... it was done! Took half an hour, most of which was spent in disbelief that all I needed to do was READ THE ONLINE SETUP GUIDE and then fill in two forms/pages on the setup software. True, my wife and I use MacBooks which were ahead of me all the way through. This is an excellent device and has been cheerfully connecting us to the Web at 108mps, if necessary from the bottom of the garden, with no problems. I'm not a tech person, but it was easy.

4 out of 5 stars Easy to use, but there's always a drawback   October 6, 2008
Miss NC Morris
This was really easy to set up and provides a brilliant signal for my home wireless. (Signal extends to the garden despite Netgear sitting in the flat upstairs.)

The thing needs re-setting once a week, due to it failing to assign an ip address. This doesn't take long, but it disturbs my husband on the desktop. The minor inconvenience made me give the product a 4 out of 5.

4 out of 5 stars Good unit. Bit of pereserence on set-up pays   September 10, 2008
RW (Sheffield, UK)
Bought from Digidave via Amazon. some set up problems, but these were quickly resolved with their on-line support. No problems now. Have PC, two lap-tops and Wii all connected. My IPAQ doesn't want to play, but I think that's my fault...
