brought it some six months ago & it's my 1st mp3 player.advertised as 8gb but with it's initial programming it's starting point is only about 7gb's.
this is still plenty of space & have down loaded over a thousand of my favarite songs plus a few pictures. it's almost full shame theres now way to increase the capacity with a memory chip.
the battery life is not as long as claimed but longer than the battery life of my old portable cd player. it can easily fit in the pocket but purchase a good case for it because it is quite fragile. also make sure you get a car & mains charger. can't understand the blue tooth though does not work for me .the speakers are an added touch & the alarm fuction was handy when I work nights

i received my player this morning after using the express next day delivery. i am extremely impressed with it, the built in speaker puts out fantastic sound considering the size of it, the only problem i can find with it is the bluetooth, hence 4 stars, it doesnt send or receive files its mainly used as a hands free for a mobile phone although it may just be that i havnt figured it out yet! it also has 5 built in games so i think the price for this 8gb player is very reasonable. i highly recomend this product.

I have this player for over a week now and I've been using it for hours a day. I'm very pleased with the speakers and for the size the sound quality and volume is surprisingly good. The supplied headphones are very impressive, giving deep rich tones and good warm bass sounds.
The portable nature suits me perfectly, being able to move from room to room listening to music.
The menu and navigation is not as intuitive or easy to use as an Ipod and I think this lets it down slightly. The buttons are touch sensitive and I don't always input accurately.
I would recommend this player to anyone who specifically wants to use the speakers, but I'll carry on using my larger Ipod in the car and plugged into the home stereo.

I have had this samsung mp3 player for several months after upgrading from a 1gb to 8gb for more memory space.I use the player everyday sometimes for several hours at a time,I have never encountered any significant problems at all, it has never once crashed, battery life exceeds what it states in the manual and I have never encountered any sound fading.The one problem I have encountered is the mains adaptor I bought when plugged into the mp3 comes up as fully charged on the player and refuses to charge - this may be the chargers fault.The speaker sounds good in an enclosed room but not out doors.All in all an excellent player with great features and very easy to upload with tons of memory - I doubt you will be dissapointed.

the speakers are not good enough to enjoy mp3's in public,
WAAAY overpriced for 8gb these days
touchscreen crashes
sometimes volumes fades!
go for the Creative Zen 16gb mp3/mp4 player for 10 more and get your moneys worth
