5 out of 5 stars Best a2dp up to date.   January 1, 2009
A. Shrestha (London, UK)
Ive tries motorola s9, ht820 and numerous other a2dp headphones but this one beats the others to the ground fair and square. Its the best a2dp headphones ever with perfect combination of sound with clarity. Its actually even better than my wired headset which was a surprise to me and to top it off 17 hours of battery life is not bad. Excellent bass (better than most wired ones), V.good mids and V.good treble. All in all one hell of a headphone.

4 out of 5 stars Great item, limited by devices to use with   December 15, 2008
D Ranjan (London, UK)
I bought this item a couple of weeks ago. Now the reason I bought it was to use with my IPhone 3G and PS3 primarily. The bad news for me was that for both of these gagdets, it would only connect on a mono-aural level rather than stereo. So you cannot listen to your Ipod on your Iphone directly as it is although you can use it as a bluetooth headset for picking up phone calls. But lets face it, you are not going to wear these headphones all the while unless you are listening to music. Similarly for PS3, you can use it for chatting, but you will not be able to listen to music or watch movies with the sound streaming to your headphones. It is quite disappointing that advanced gadgets like the PS3 and Apple Iphone were not able to provide this useful feature. Same thing with my Blackberry (not the Storm. I havent tried that device)

However the above is not Sony and the headphones' fault. I used to have a Nokia N95 and I tried using the headphones with that phone and it worked like a treat. You can listen to the music and use it as a headset. The quality of music was better than my Senheiser PX 200 that I have been using in the past. The bass is deep and the over the ear pads are very comfortable for long lasting use. I have used this with my laptop as well and the result in terms of music quality is very high. Mind you, I am not an audiophile and I listen to music that has plenty of percussion instruments and guitar, and I feel that these headphones have done complete justice in reproducing the music.

So the reason this item gets 4 stars is not really due to any fault of its own but due to the fact that there are other gadgets that are not ready for this kind of technology. I suggest, you check the devices that you are going to pait it with on whether they will connect to these headphones in the manner you want.

2 out of 5 stars don't forget a trasmitter/receiver!!!   October 8, 2008

I initially bought these to work with my SONY PS3 and guess what they are not compatible bluetooth systems.
I mean SONY headphones + SONY PS3 ,I ask you,not compatible.
I thought i would then at leat be able to use them with my MacMini with built in bluetooth.Guess what ,not compatible.
I even e-mailed Sony to see what they will work with out of the box and i've to date had no reply.
These may sound great so i'm going to reserve judgement.
If you do decide to buy just don't forget to add another 30 for a headphone/out transmitter/receiver.
*UPDATE* THESE NOW WORK WITH MY MAC (I WASNT PAIRING THEM PROPERLY.)
SOUND IS GOO BUT NOT BRILL BUT THE WIRELESS ABILTY IS FAB.

5 out of 5 stars Good for what they're designed for   August 29, 2008

Bought these to go with my laptop since I was fed up with wired headphones. If you're looking for the best audio quality then look at wired elsewhere; if like me you were looking for something that had a clear wireless signal, pretty good overall sound for listening to music and at reasonable cost then these are great. They're smaller than you may think, quick and easy to pair up with devices (I tested on ipaq and vaio no problem) and the price has come down recently too. A bargain for those seeking good bluetooth headphones to complement their laptop or other bluetooth enabled devices.

5 out of 5 stars Very Good   February 24, 2008

I paired these up with my PDA for music, films and telephone hands free and it works fine, my main objective was to use with Yahoo Voice on my Laptop and I spent a whole day trying to get them to work eventually finding the reason why, it was not to do with the headphones but SKYPE, Skype is such a bad company, I have heard many reports of their software "grabbing" files for exclusive use which rendered all other software useless so once Skype was dumped I can make and receive calls from Yahoo and MSN seamlessly.
I found the quality of playback superb, such strong deep base, although I found mid to upper ranges constrained somewhat, that said it was just a case of tweaking a Graphics Equaliser to compensate, personally I prefer wireless non blue tooth to these and of course wired to wireless but neither of the latter connects to a phone so overall I am very pleased. There is no hiss or interference at all, I can venture into another room with only 1 wall between and still receive a perfect signal, but any more than that and the signal drops out.
Switches are a little fiddly that said most are anyway until you get used to them. I took these out of the box at 8.00am without charging them and listen to music and phone calls till 11.30pm and the batteries continued until that point where I called it a day. They are very comfortable to wear. And yes if I had to replace these I would buy another pair.
