Best thing I've bought in years August 5, 2005 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a fantastic gadget, the sound quality is excellent, its easy to use and looks great too. Its very easy to create multiple playlists using the iTUNES software included. I really like the way iPOD communicates info back to the computer like the number of times a track has been played, so they are kept up to date and added to the number of times theyve been listened to on the computer itself. It has an enormous storage capacity, I shall be taking it on holiday loaded up with at least 1200 songs and 8 audio books and it still wont be full. The only problem I am having is that my kids now want one too! can't recommend highly enough.
A great buy July 30, 2005 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I bought this for my daughter. She loves it. Everything needed was in the box and software was easy to install. Took a bit of time to work out how to transfer her playlists (more down to my confusion not the iPod) but once this was figured out everything transferred quickly and easily. The quality of sound is good and functions very easy to use. All in all a very successful purchase and so far living up to expectations. My daughter has not complained about the battery life, it seems fine. One thing though, for the money, I think it would be nice to have a mains charger included as this is pretty essential if you go away etc and don't have access to a PC. Until it is (hopefully) included, I would recommend buying one when you buy the iPod. Just a thought.
Absolutely Fabulous! July 29, 2005 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
There are undoubtedly technically superior MP3 players on the market but for sheer style, desirability and ease of use the iPod Mini is in a class of it's own. I was lucky enough to receive mine as a 30th birthday present and fell in love with it immediately. I cannot stress enough to the technically phobic how easy the accompanying software is to use. Transferring music to the iPod and creating your own compilations is sheer childs-play. You can also use the iTunes software to play music through your computer and burn your music to disc. I bought the "Rough Guide to Ipods" by Peter Buckley and Duncan Clark to facilitate the use of my iPod and found it extremely helpful. A number of people have suggested that you do not need the memory this iPod provides but I disagree. I guess it depends how much music you own or are likely to download, but in the 6 weeks since I received mine I have added 800 songs and still have at least 40 CD's I would like to transfer.I have also had no issue with the battery life but I tend to treat it like a mobile phone and keep it topped up. In short my iPod and I now go everywhere together, I certainly can't say the same for my Mini-Disc player or prior to that my CD Discman.

NOT WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! May 8, 2005 GG (uk) 5 out of 55 found this review helpful
When i saw the apple ipod mini in PINK i thought i had to have one, so i got some money together infact a lot of money together and bought one at first i thourght it was soooooo cool it was pink and could store loads of tunes, but after a while i reilized that it was a totaly rip off. I mean its quite big and im nerver gona need all that memory so basically i spend aroulnd 200 quid on a mp3 player with loads of memory im never gonna use when i could have spent 50 quid on a farly decent mp3 player with the rite amount of memory. IF UR RICH THEN BUY THIS ITEM, BUT IF ITS AN EFFORT TO GET THE MONEY TOGETHER THEN GO FOR THE OTHER OPTION. i hope this review has helped.
