Dissapointing bass November 7, 2008 Johnny (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Having just signed up to a gym, i needed a pair of earphones that wont pop out my ears when on the treadmill. These seemed like a good choice. They're comfortable, light and secure but the biggest let down is the complete lack of bass compared to the earphones that came with my creative zen. Other than that these arn't a bad purchase.
Impressive sound, decent price October 3, 2008 Chupakun (London) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I picked these up when perusing earphones at John Lewis. They're a bit more expensive there, but I needed some quickly. The sound is quite clean and there is little in the way of distortion. The ranges are covered quite well although the bass isn't as refined as I'd like (I'm a bassist). In terms of hardware design, these aren't the flashiest and the plastic may look cheap. Don't let that fool you since these are quite hardy warriors and have endured close to 8-10 hours of usage on a daily basis. Despite having no rubber parts, the material has a latent softness to it that keep them comfortable despite extended use. The reason I'm knocking a star off is because my first pair started losing sound in the left piece near the end (roughly about a year-and-a-half of usage). However, for as long as these last, the MDR-J10s are a solid, capable pair of earphones that I would use time and time again.
good for a while... September 30, 2008 Mr. T. L. Richardson (Wales) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Good sound, decent fit. The main reason I buy these is because the cable splits early and by putting your head through the gap between that and the slider you can wear them all day as a necklace. Unfortunately after a few months, moving the slider every day causes the wire sheathes to break, making them generally unusable. I now have about 5 broken pairs. Until I find another pair that can be worn so easily I will keep buying them, but I feel like I am being conned buying the same product over again despite the obvious design flaw. It feels like they're designed to break.
Excellent August 8, 2008 ~Sooty~ (Scotland) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
so far so good top quality sound and they stay in my ear no matter how hard i jog ,run ,crunch etc when at the gym also quite stylish so top marks worth the money
worst ever May 20, 2008 fkoepping77 (London) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Absolutely do not buy these headphones. They are made for people with giant dumbo ears, that's the only way I can explain the design. The ear band claims it's adjustable, but only to the extent that you might be able to wear them if you were Prince Charles rather than Charles Clarke. It is almost impossible to run in them, and even when walking along the street they slip easily.
