I have owned this TV for a year now and I'm just putting up with it. Since new the image has been poor purely due to the lag. If you have a still picture on the screen, it is sharp and bright however soon as the image is moving, even slowly, e.g. someone talking, there is terrible lag and the picture becomes blurry. I also, like so many others I have read about, am having problems with the sound cutting out.
Further more, check out how much power this TV consumes, if you pay for your own electricity you need to be aware of this. I would not buy from Hannspree again.

So, I was looking for a new HDTV for months, I couldn't decide if I wanted to spend a lot of money and get the best quality money could buy or go right to the bottom of the range and see what the cheap TV's really looked like. I looked around for months and finally decided after looking at hundreds of TVs that although the more expensive ones look better that really is only when you put them next to the cheaper TV's. I know that doesn't make this TV sound good but the thing you have to remember is that you wont be looking at the TV when its next to lots of other TVs it will be in your living room on its own!! This TV is brilliant on its own. We have all had old big average TVs for years, so when you put this TV next to one of those its amazing. Thats how I ended up looking at it. In the end you can get this V for 400 odd pounds. Compare that to the thousands you can spend elsewhere on the more known brands of TV and you realise that it really isn't worth all that extra cash.
I have this TV plugged into a sky HD+ box and a ps3. Both look brilliant. The games and DVDs on the ps3 are crystal clear, the sky HD looks great and even normal TV is better than you would have expected from a TV at this price.
Honestly, in the electrical industry you won't find many really bargains, many real value added products but this one really does give you those things. How they made it this cheaply I dont know but it really is something!!
The TV doesn't look as good as some of the more expensive TV's, what with it being slightly deeper than the more expensive TVs but that wasn't too much of an issue for me because it still looks darn good! It has the shiny black that you find on the likes of samsung TVs, that helps somewhat towards the looks of the whole system.
You can get this with 2 HD inputs as well which is absolutely great really for the price!
So I really do recommend this TV to anyone, whether you have lots of money or can just about afford a new TV this will look great in your house and you will enjoy every minute of watching it!

I bought this TV six months ago and had problems from the start with poor picture quality, now it has broken down again for the THIRD time... I will be without a TV for 14 days while they repair it and because I didn't keep the box (who would keep a huge box lying around?!) they are charging me 45 for a new one, no exceptions! Inferior product and appalling customer service, be warned!

Something strange is happening here with all the reviews below.I purchased this TV at the weekend plugged it in and was disgusted with the quality of the picture blurry slow to focus and very pixalated.I have now returned it to the shop.As for the price if someone gave this telly to me for free I would not accept it.

I bought this over the Christmas period. I am quite happy with the purchase considering the price and after having a 28 inch CRT for more than a year, it was a much better experience.
The picture quality is decent for the price. There are few false color contouring, specially on blacks. To counter that, I have increased the brightness, which lowers the false gradients.
I have also seen few higher price lcd sets but I would rate this one the same.
If you dont want to spend too much, this is great value specially when considered it has 2 yr. warranty!
