i have had this tv for 2 weeks now, and im still lost for words. i love it, i just wish that all channels came in HD as it would be an experience to behold, this TV loves the xbox 360 and my PC also takes memory sticks and usb memory, this is the best tv i have had the pleasure of owning and will be the last one i own until its life is taken from me, (fingers crossed) samsung all the way.
only bad point is it collects dust
good point it collects dust,,,
(meaning that i think all the dust in the room is drawn to it, so now i only have to dust the tv and the room is done,,,)

This is my second samsung lcd, prevously bought a 26 model for pc display.
I have used this with ps3 and the humax 9200 pvr and have had no problems. A review below says it has only 1 hdmi,mine has 2. Dunno whether they have revised the model or not!
The extended colour gamut (more colours) makes a noticeable difference compared to the old crt and older samsung i have, colours are more vibrant and rich,the default settings being more than acceptable.
I have just been watching holby city,and there is a lot more detail noticeable, some of the actors having bad skin spots, you can really see all this. I watch from about 8 feet away and its wall mounted (2 man job) too. The picture with ps3 input goes to 1080i and looks great. I have watched some hd trailers:- casino royal, xmen , league of xtrodinary gentlemen-ohhhhhhhhh baby it rocks.
Downsides-as below,the sound is a weak-point but more than adequate,it wont blow your ears off. Your not doing the picture justice if u use the onboard sound.
If using the supplied stand,it can swivel about 30 degrees either way.
Overall the gloss black finish which has really become samsungs trademark in flatscreens oozes quality topped off with the blue light when in standy gives it an expensive feel.
I was thinking of buying the 32 inch model,but for the extra cash,this is worth it. As long as u sit about 8 feet or more back,any closer with standard def tv and you may see a little pixelation.
verdict-another samsung bargain from amazon!!!
Updated-the sound thru HDMI is much better than the standard sound.

I have been absolutely delighted with this tv. The picture is amazing with the cable feed i have. Sound is ok for a normal sized room.
The only reason i haven't given it 5 stars is that the connectivity could be better. There is only one HD connector, one compsoite and two scarts which is not really enough nowadays. However i am not at all bothered about this as i can hook my xbox (btw HD gears of war is just unbelievable) up through the composite input and have two scarts free.
I am also get the issue that was described above. When a bright primary colour is displayed the tv flashes black and white and it loses sound. This is really annoying. It happens for me when i am watching normal tv through a Samsung VBox (virgin media). I need to phone them about this.

I've had this for a a few weeks now and am very pleased with it. Picture quality is excellent - it's my first LCD and one of the great things is not having light from windows/ patio doors reflected in the screen! Big pluses: picture quality, esp Freeview and DVD, and from a laptop; memory card input; ideal screen size, swivel stand is an added bonus. And very stylish. Menu is easy as was the set-up. There are a few downsides:
- sound is quite poor; it's a bit flat and quiet, so will have to invest in a sound system for it
- It has Picture-in-Picture, which unfortunately only works with a HD signal, and not with my existing freeview or Sky digital
- Be careful if inserting a Sony memory stick duo - make sure you use the adaptor. I learnt this from bitter experience!
But overall, a great buy.
Good TV but conflicts with Thompson SKY+ 160 March 23, 2007

Really like this TV looks great sounds OK but have problems when playing back recordings made on thompson 160 Sky+ box. Picture flashes on and off and turns black and white & sound is lost, when there are any concentrated primary colours on screen. Samsung say this is a sky matter as there is a known conflict. Sky engineers also say there is a conflict with the Thompson box but no Pace boxes are available. Would like to have known this before I bought one!
