Expensive TV - Cheap Remote February 18, 2008

I bought this TV after a lot of analysis and review reading. Generally the TV has good features and compared to similar products is good value for money and I am not disappointed with its performance. Unfortunately when considering which one to buy I failed to look into one thing, and that is the very poor quality Remote Control. I have had 20 DVD recorders with better quality Remotes. Compared to what is currently available in the TV market the TV specification, along with the price is mid range to high, therefore you would expect a decent quality full featured Remote. It is tacky to say the least with poor size keys, poor layout, poor quality mouldings/materials and unused keys. One of those keys is for Ambilight which is a feature fitted to lower price units but surprisingly is not included on this more expensive unit.
