Excellent Buy January 12, 2008 J. Evans 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Really, really pleased with this tv, it deserves all the "best buy" reviews in the magazine tests. At first I was disappointed with the picture but i quickly realised this was on the factory default settings. Having played with all the options, particularly setting noise reduction to max, the picture is absolutely fantastic. Pin sharp, flicker free and lovely natural looking contrast and colours, unlike some cheaper models. The sound too is excellent, i like the surround setting. I am very happy with this purchase, particularly as i paid under 600 as opposed to over 800 in the shops.
Excellent Buy January 2, 2008 Mark I. Cater 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
I purchased this TV to replace my Sony CRT and was slightly dubious at first as I have heard a lot of varying comments about LCD picture quality. I have wall mounted the TV and I must say I am not dissapointed with the picture quality especially from the XBOX360 through the composite connections. You must remember to change the output of the XBOX via it's display menu but it is crystal clear in picture. The only reason I have not rated this 5 stars is that I feel the sound from the TV is a bit tinny and lacks the bass of my old TV. One other slight comment is potentially not enough space behind TV when wall mounted flush as the scart cables and other cables purtrude slightly. Overall though I would recommend this to anyone.
Sweet TV December 30, 2007 Mr. R. Law 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I spent a LONG time chosing this, didn't want to regret buying something inferior. A friend sells these for a living and was pretty clear that this was the superior to all of the 32's at this price range, even the Sony KDL32D3000 which I almost opted for. Yes its a little more expensive but I was happy to pay a little more to get the better TV. I admit the sound quality isn't stunning but then that applies to its rival's as well, picture wise its flawless. If you can get this for 600 with 5 year warranty you will have made a very good purchase you won't regret anytime soon. Trust me.

The Panasonic TX-32LXD70 will, without a doubt, surprise you. Especially at this price point. The picture quality is stunning for both SD and HD signals. I have been in-store and compared visuals from Sony's (more expensive but equal quality), Samsung's (not my favourite), Toshiba's (best price/quality ratio) and Sharp's HD-Ready models. All of them rather top of the line. To be honest, the only two that stood out of the crowd were the Sony and Panasonic displays. The sharpness, colour and viewing angle were unmatched and especially in motion, they were unbeatable. The Panasonic actually was superior to the Sony when displaying fast motion. Unlike other reviewers, I have not only seen SD picture on this TV. At home, I already had a Toshiba LCD which I bought about 8 months ago. I bought this one as replacement for it and hooked it up to a PlayStation 3. I've watched Blu-Ray movies and played games in HD. The one thing that will separate it from other 720p panels is that this LCD accepts 1080p inputs and processes 1080p24 through HDMI. This is a clear advantage over other LCDs in this pice range. While it may not have a 1080p panel, the input from e.g. a Blu-Ray movie doesn't have to be scaled or adjusted, improving overall picture quality and response. It also benefits from the 100HZ Motion Flow technology, which becomes increasingly noticable in comparison when playing videogames and fast-paced videos/movies. I don't want to tell you about the basics like input interfaces and stuff like that, as you will already have found out. If you are worrying about SD picture quality, I can confirm that it comes close to CRT. The most remarkable things about this LCD: - Picture quality in HD outstanding; sharpness, response, motion flow, detail - SD picture coming close to CRT levels - Colour quality and differentiation - Viewing angle - 100HZ - 1080p24 processing The good, yet not extraordinary details: - Contrast - Connectivity - Built-in speakers The mediocre things: - Design too plain; lacks a glossy finish - however the case itself looks decent The bad parts: - "Just" 32-inch; bigger LCDs with less advanced technology for slightly less money I really thought of something to come up with as negative points except the size, but there simply aren't. For this price point (about 150-200 off highstreet), you will simply not get anything better in terms of technology. However...you will find 37" LCDs from e.g. Toshiba for a bit less than the price of this LCD. You might as well find 42" panels from the first generation for this kind of money. Still, whether 32" is too small for your needs or not is totally up to you. I simply brought that up for comparison purposes. At the end of the day you will have to decide between a bigger picture or more advanced technology, unless you want to spend a lot more money. Bottom line, 5 stars for a great piece of technology by Panasonic.

Fantastic delivery and service from Amazon, 2 days and I had my purchase, unlike Tribal uk, ordered the lxd700 which was in stock, waited over 3 weeks no replies to emails or phone calls, appalling customer service.Be warned. So I cancelled that order and decided to get the lxd70, fantastic product, the dvb picture is as good as virgin cable, the whole set oozes quality. With the money saving Im after a quality surround sound, which Ill purchase thru Amazon.
