Great Tv for the price January 15, 2007

I brought this tv about 3 weeks ago and I have not stopped smiling since, me and my friends played 6 player XBOX 360 on 3 different TVs mine was the only one with high def,needless to say everyone wanted to play on mine. I have noticed that some games on the PS2 look scrappy I hope this is just because they're not high def, I also have my PC plugged into it, this is something I'm very happy with and I use PIP whenever I'm on it, PIP mode is very good as you can position the smaller version anywhere on the screen and change the size. Apart from the PS2 issue I have not got one bad thing to say I say buy it, why wouldn't you??

Not many reviews on this TV so I took a bit of a risk buying it online without seeing it in action so here is my review of the set and amazon.
I paid the extra delivery charge for next day delivery and it came the very next day at 08.30am so off to a good start, the item was very well packaged and fairly easy to open, the set up needed a quick read of the instructions but the TV did all the tuning it's self apart from having manually rearrange the channels, this could have been more simple as it was a little far fetched but all in all it took 20 minutes.
Using a normal analog Ariel the picture quality is fuzzy on some channels but mainly channel 5 compared to my last TV 28" standard, the picture on all channels has a trail when the camera moves in any direction kind of like one of the settings for your computer mouse where the pointer moves and gives an echo effect this is very annoying a spoils viewing.
Connecting the sky hd was easy and eliminates this effect giving a very clear picture the same applies to watching a dvd using hdmi the TV then comes alive and is more than impressive giving a very sharp and clear picture.
I am a big consol fan so being lucky enough to own a ps3 and a Xbox 360, connecting both was straight forward as expected, the ps3 uses a direct hdmi cable and by selecting on the TV hdmi the ps3 was up and running in no time, the 360 uses a component hd cable this is good because both the ps3 and the 360 can be connected at the same time without having to change over wires all the time. both work best using 1080i.
The sound on the TV is very good I wasn't expecting much from the 10w speakers but they are very crisp and clear and loud enough for any front room.
The remote is easy to use but the change of channel speed is slow
PIP is a nice option and POP both work well and can be set up with different settings to suit you.
All in all the TV is very good value for money even compared to more expensive sets

I searched for months to find something suitable, I've had my eye on Projectors mainly, thought LCD's were over priced, but this grabbed my attention, I tried to find reviews on it as it was unknown, found some from the US stating the screen was very clear and vivid so I took a chance and I'm glad I did!
I bought this LCD about a month ago from another site and I'm still impressed with it.
It has all the video connections you need, 2xSCART, HDMI, DVI, S-VIDEO, RCA - YPbPr and CVBS.
PIP is great for when you're working on your PC and want to still watch TV.
I've got my PC in another room so I've bought a 10M VGA cable and a 10M Fiber Optic cable (to connect to my amp), so I can still watch all my films in my bedroom.
It has a nice black finish with panels on the back to hide away all the cable connections, so if you want an affordable LCD that's better looking than it priced competitors then go for this... the 2 Year warranty helps too!

I brought this lcd tv from amazon last week and it is one of the best items i have brought in my life. The picture is top class and the tv was easy to set up. I have my dvd recorder, sky box and xbox 360 connected to it and they work flawless. Go for it you won't be disapointed.

Very disappointed, picture quality is not good , blurring in action sequences, pixellation in darks, flesh tones flat, colours jar against each other, lines around text. my old bog standard 28in tv is much better
Even with hdmi (I own a dvd player with video upscaling) I was not impressed. I have telewest cable tv.
Also I am an it professional working with audio visual equipment, I know how to set up a tv. In future I wont be buying a lcd tv without having seen and tested the picture quality for myself.
