Was A Bargain At 565! June 9, 2007 Alan (United Kingdom) 5 out of 9 found this review helpful
Back in February 2007, Amazon.co.uk were selling this TV for just 565. Since then, Panasonic have replaced the TX-32LXD60 with the TX-32LMD70, which Amazon.co.uk are selling for 559. So, there's a newer model out, it's black and it's slightly cheaper. But that's to be expected. After all, technology is ALWAYS improving, and electronics are ALWAYS getting cheaper and cheaper. My advice is, if you were thinking of buying the TX-32LXD60, don't, buy the TX-32LMD70 now instead. It's interesting how prices compare. Amazon.co.uk are selling the TX-32LMD70 for 559, whereas John Lewis are selling it for 699. John Lewis is a great shop, but from both places you get EXACTLY the same product, the same box, the same thing. The difference is, Amazon.co.uk charge you 110 less. Now, you might say that 110 isn't a lot of money, but with that saving you could buy a very nice present for someone. You could get a 4GB iPod Nano, a Sony 7MP Digital Camera, a PlayStation 2 console, or a Navman satellite navigation system. So, buying from Amazon.co.uk clearly gives you a huge advantage!
Good Panny February 25, 2007 Dr. M. Buchan (Inverclyde) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
Bought 4 weeks ago from JohnLewis who price mached for 660 which included 5 year warranty. Great picture, easy to set up. Sound is ok. Right size for my sitting room, so big sound is not needed. Haven't tried hi def yet, saving up for Sky HD. Good connectivity and remote is fine. My Sky+ and Sony DVD cinema remotes will also control the Panny as well. Most reviews are very favourable, chose this against the Samsung mainly on the colour. Great price for my first 32" LCD. Not entirely sure a 5 year warranty is any better than 3 years as most TVs will not exist that long and most repairs will not be 'economical'. But its nice to have.
a Fabulous LCD panel! February 18, 2007 Mr. R. Hill 22 out of 22 found this review helpful
Having researched LCD screens for some time,it was a toss up between the 32LXD60 or a Samsung. On balance the 32LXD60 pipped it for picture quality. I am amazed how clear and detailed the picture is after calibrating it properly with a set up disc I use.The flesh tones are natural which is a good test. Most people tend to leave the picture control on Dynamic instead of Natural and whack the sharpness too high - this results in a over colourised and contrasty picture. The only downside is the sound is occasionally lacking clarity and a higher volume setting is required to compensate - but you do get used to it. A great LCD screen at a ridiculous price - GET ONE!!!
Great pic quality and look. January 4, 2007 Mr. M. S. Ansari (UK) 50 out of 68 found this review helpful
This LCD TV is not bad as I thought it would be, my uncle bought it few days back for similar price as Amazon, so I went to set it up for him. First of all, the TV looks great and it doesn't have too much flesh hanging from sides so nice and sleek. Incase your wondering, this TV has won few TV of the year awards as well, so make sure you do your homework b4 buying. I was surprised to see a cool safety feature incase of theft. You can save your details in the TV with a four digit code as pass. Pretty cool I say :D Out of box, the picture quality is set to normal, so its not easy to notice pic clarity until you start switching channels to see its colour effects on different scenes. I Found four picture modes in the picture settings: dynamic, normal, cinema, auto. I found dynamic mode by far the best; you can really see the diff when you switch the pic modes back and forth. So at the end, I did some custom colour and brightness adjustments and picked dynamic mode as final pic setting. DAB mode worked flawlessly, it found all the free view channels and works nicely. Only thing I would complain about is they didn't supply a scart socket, and remote control dosent support third party dvd, vcr or skybox control except its own.
