Best for the price January 3, 2009 Mr. P. D. Horsham (UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was debating whether to buy this or the Samsung 19" and went for this in the end. Having compared them in a shop the picture quality is far far better and its perfect for our bedroom. The sound is a bit tinny but they all seem to be at this size/price. It has a headphone jack on the back so it would be easy to get some little computer speakers plugged up if you aren't happy with the sound but as a little TV its fine really. Highly recommended :-)
Nice picture and good features for the proce December 30, 2008 C. Isbell (Southampton, UK) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Purchased a few days ago and a vast improvement on my previous set. The picture is much clearer, it is easy to use and it has all the inputs I want (SCART, RGB, S-Video, HDMI, VGA and UHF). The only very slight downsides are that Freeview channel changes are a little slow and the front panel LED indicators are a little to bright. But overall, these are very minor niggles. One nice point is that the power supply is built in and not a separate brick that gets in the way and looks untidy.
great little tv..excellent picture quality December 10, 2008 DeRages (NW London) 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
Bought this tv for bedroom. Great quality picture from this screen. Its resolution is 1366x768 so it displays 16:9 freeview pictures as 16:9 without any stretching or shrinking, unlike most other small screens which are 1440x900 and have to stretch pictures to 16:10. Okay this means the Sharp has slighter smaller viewing screen but pic quality is excellent, no stutter or blurring. Also this is an IPS LCD, nearly all other small LCD TVs use inferior TN which are designed for computer use. Sound is not too bad either.
Challenges the best for less December 1, 2008 R. Robinson (Sheffield, England) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I've only had this out of the box briefly as its a Christmas gift to self. Initial impressions are excellent. Easy to set up and I'm fortunate to be able to run free view and analogue off a portable arial. Good quality picture and the viewing angle is very good. What is also useful is that this appears to apply vertically as well as horizontally unlike many small LCD TV's where the picture goes really dark if you're looking up at the TV. The sound quality is OK and comparable with the small sony TV's I looked at.
Superbe November 4, 2008 Sheila (Manchester, England) 21 out of 21 found this review helpful
I bought this TV to use in my bedroom and it is truly superbe. The design is neat and compact. The picture quality is excellent, better than others in a similar price range. It is very good value for money. If you are looking for a small inexpensive TV, but don't want to compromise on picture quality, buy this one. You will not be disappointed.
