This is a well made LCD at a good price with good features, including various interconnects (including HDMI) and a built-in Freeview tuner. It can also be hooked up to a PC, perhaps its best use. beware its achilles heel - the sound is totally unsatisfactory, sounding almost exactly like a 20 transistor radio I bought 15 years ago. This wouldn't matter but there are no audio outputs of any description (no headphone socket and the component interfaces are for input), so you can't connect external speakers.
Some LG sets in this price range do have headphone sockets - I'd go for one of those instead of this if your main use of this set is to be a second TV.
