Perfect! June 10, 2008 Miss Syd (West Yorks, UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Prior to buying this TV, I bought a TV/DVD combination for my bedroom, costing 135. The TV picture was just appalling, and the picture when playing DVDs was impossible to watch, despite any adjustments I made. For 149, I got this refurbished model with Freeview and the picture quality is superb. Plus, great EPG, easy to set up, and someone gave me their old DVD player, so I have the package I wanted. Delivery was excellent (too excellent actually - I wasn't at work that day!), and I received an e-mail from the seller instructing me to check it before signing for it. Was a bit apprehensive about "refurbished," but so far, so good....
Worth the extra 20- 40 !!!! January 4, 2008 Vannistelross (Lincolnshire, UK) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
Bought this TV for 208, others were selling it for between 220- 260ish. But I'd say its worth paying up to 250ish, which is about 20- 40 more than other makes such as Samsung/Toshiba etc... anyway for the quality of the sound and picture on such a small TV its great quality. The picture is flawless and the sound is rich considering the small size of the TV. Very easy to set uP - Less than 5 minutes!!! A great TV, always worth going for a Sony. You get what you pay for. Don't be tempted by cheaper (inferior) alternatives.

I bought this for my son's bedroom and he invited us all in to watch a movie on his HD DVD Plaer he had for christmas. The sound was jaw droppingly brilliant but it really let itself down by the screen and picture quality. The screen is too boxy and too small and the picture quality was very blurry. Whether it was just a manufacturing fault I don't know but we have complained to Sony about the very poor picture quality. I would, however, reccomend this for a kitchen or a very small bedroom, but if you think the picture quality is very bad and a number of people share your views then there is a fault with the production of these TVs.
Very pleased December 14, 2007 M. Conder 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
This TV is an excellent buy. Set-up was simple and took about 10 minutes. It's a perfect for the kitchen or bedroom. The only slight criticism I have is that the on-off switch is on the top - I prefer them at the bottom of the fascia. Also there is no MDMI connection. Another thought - and this applies to TVs in general - is that we are urged not to leave sets on standby. Why, therefore, have manufacturers not developed a means of turning TVs off completely via the remote control?
Little gem October 28, 2007 Andrew Jones (UK) 46 out of 47 found this review helpful
I already own one of the large Sony Bravia TV's and know just how good the picture quality is on Sony LCD products. My mother wanted a replacement for her aging portable TV (you know the one, no scart sockets, 1970's design, screen that looks like a goldfish bowl :) So I checked out a few reviews on-line and settled on this TV. Amazon just so happened to be one of the cheapest of the more well known on-line retailers. Once it arrived (a matter of days) we set up the TV. It literally took minutes to do. The screen is crisp and bright. The Freeview worked flawlessly and picked up all of the available channels. The system looks nice and smart, its a dark gunmetal grey colour. Sound quality is excellent and the remote control is a doddle to use. The only unusual thing to note is that to power the TV, Sony have taken the decision to use a seperate power supply. I suppose this is to save on the weight of the TV and cut down on any heat build up. The power supply is about the size of a laptop power supply and has a removable 'kettle' type lead with a UK plug at one end and a laptop type plug that fits into a socket at the back of the TV. Slightly unusual to see this, but the leads are quite long and the power supply can easily be hidden away.
