Good features, looks good and plays DVDs and AVI files burnt to a disk well
I had to return the first one I bought back to the shop as the Freeview stopped working on the second day, since then I have bought a separate PVR
As far as image quality, it is good but not as good as my old CRT monitor, blacks and whites are not well rendered but this appears to be a fault with LCDs in general rather than this model specifically, similarly brighter colours are a bit glary. Also the quality of the image is not as good as the CRT, it is a bit more blocky and fuzzy. I am awaiting the new OLED screens to become available (and cheaper!) which should resolve the image issues

We were looking for a replacement TV for our living room/study and I was tempted to simply buy a smaller version of our Sony Bravia 32 HD which has been gracing our main sitting room for the past 6 months with fantastic results. But we were keen to combine an LCD HD-Ready TV with a DVD player - and the Toshiba looked ideal. The reviews seemed to be unanimous in praising the Toshiba. Well, we've taken the plunge and bought it as a New Year family gift. This product is clearly well deserving of a 5 star rating. We are so impressed with the Toshiba. It really IS a doddle to set up straight out of the box. The auto-tuning, really does work and the picture quality and sound are both excellent.
The DVD player is a real bonus too and again, it works flawlessly and with the minimum of fuss. And having the DVD/TV combined really does give the Toshiba the edge if you're comparing several LCD HD-ready TVs of similar size.
The only tiny niggle is the lack of a proper on-off switch. Seems with so many modern TV/DVD/HI-FI equipment these days, they expect you to simply switch off using the remote. The answer of course is to simply pull out the plug from the main socket. But as a say a minor niggle for an overwise fantastic product - at a very good price.
This is a great little HD-ready LCD TV with DVD player combined.

Having looked around for a few weeks, the Toshiba seemed the best on paper.
'Which?' rated this as the top of the LCD TV/DVD combi's.
In real life it is superb. Picture quality is excellent, the user menu is well designed and the DVD player works with minimal noise. It's well worth paying a little bit more for this unit. Sound quality is better than most but don't expect lots of bass from any of the smaller units like this. Easy connection to your HIFI via the scart socket if desired.
I will recommend this to anyone!
