My dad bought this TV in March 2007, just before Christmas this year the picture faded, to be replaced with brightly coloured stripes. As with the other review similar to this, the warranty had run out. Unfortunately we did not read any reviews on this product before purchase. 399.99 is a lot of money for a pensioner to spend on a TV that lasts little over 18 months. Yet LG are pushing their advertising campaign. I would advise people to think twice about purchasing this TV.

Good points: Competitive price. Picture and sound quality met my expectations. Picture settings (contrast/brightness/colour) can be set up individually for each input which is handy if you use your TV as also a PC monitor. VGA input comes as standard.
Bad points: Freeview not built in as standard. Only one HDMI port.

Like many other people who have reviewed this product, I found the picture and sound of this TV to be great and the price to be very competitive. The problem was that after 18 months it simply stopped working. I tried to turn it on and there was no picture at all. Having spoken to several repairers this is a common problem with this particular model and the repair costs are considerable. Therefore, if you're determined to buy this TV, I would strongly recommend getting some form of warranty (which I did not do) with it, otherwise you could end up with a TV that is great for around 18 months and then stops working.

I wanted to buy a HDtv for a PS3 and after going numerous TV's which didnt really cut it, I saw this LG tv and what a great looking TV it is.
-Great picture and sound quality
-Very attractice design
-HDMI and 1080p resolution.
-Great price
If you want a HDtv, this is a great choice
and you would be very happy with it.

I purchased my LG in May 2007.
I went through 4, YES 4 Lcd tvs before finding this one.
I found the price great value for money.
My friend purchased a Panasonic 32" set for 600. The LG beats it in every way,
* The picture was better.
* The Sound was better.
* Better looking.
* Cheaper!!!!!.
Don't get me wrong, it's not the best picture out there, But as some say you get what you pay for.
I can say this Tv is worth every penny.
I tried cheaper low-name Tv's, but found they fell short of quality.
So to finish this review, if 500 alot of money to you & thats your budget, you can't go wrong with this Tv.
