This television is just freaking awesome! I've waited a long time to buy a flat screen telly and this one is perfect 40", 1080p, 100Hz and samsung you can't get much better and my ps3 looks great. I've seen some reviews saying the sound isn't up to much and tinny! I can't see/hear anything wrong myself in fact I think it's very good.
If you are looking for a 40" you really can't go far wrong with tis one.

From the moment you take it out of the box, you can see that this is a classy TV and it doesn't disappoint when you turn it on either. It did take around a week of adjustment to finally get the picture I wanted and, in the end, it came down to switching all of the parameters to automatic. There are so many user adjustable parameters for the picture that you could spend the rest of your life fine tuning, but the automatic settings, in my opinion, gave the best result. I haven't tried full 1080p yet as I don't have a source, but the 720 is emminently acceptable. As is stated in some other reviews, the sound is not very good, but, in my experince, that is the case for all TFT TVs. The line out (on two phonos) is fine for feeding external amp and speakers and the internal sound system remains disabled on mine. I upgraded from the older series 32 inch and I never used the internal speakers on that one either for the same reason. The Wise Link is a nice addition. I have added a cheapo card reader on the USB port and I just insert the SD card from my camera to view the pictures. Overall, a great TV at a great price. Delivery from Amazon was excellent as usual.

Got tv yesterday and it's fab mabye slightly too big for our room but hey ho havn't got sky hd yet and waiting for new upgrading dvd player to come (gone a bit mad spending)read the other reviews for this telly and not disappointed got let down by 1staudiovisual so came back to ye old faithful site and although slightly more expensive than was going to pay ordered it Tues delivered Friday(leading up to xmas).Very happy-not very clever with techno stuff!

Recieved this last week following it being a deal of the week, noticed it is still at a great price.
First impresions, fantastic, came straight of the box, no need to even put on the swivel stand, plugged all my bits in, sky, bluray player, turned in on , bingo. Stunning picture immediatley. I had been waiting for ages to get a Sony KDL-40W4000 but the price was still up near 800, I had been to my local electrical shop to have a look and fell for the Samsung, sorry but this is streets ahead style wise. even the remote that lights up beats the clumpy one from Sony.This is gorgeous rose black with a crystal edging .
Back to Amazon and I spot this one with higher spec at a fantastic price.
It does indeed have the 100hz which the sony does not, picture is outstanding and several people have thought we already had HD when we have not yet.Go to the Samsung website as for some reason Amazon have not really given much detail about this, it is the series 6.
Loads of options, like the usb port too for pictures etc, all in all very, very pleased.

Delivery was prompt.Picture quality on the tv's freeview is ok but not brilliant, standard definition images are simply that on this tv. Being an avid film buff, I have hooked this up to my OPPO DV-981HD (Black)::HDMI 1080p DivX SACD:Multi-region DVD player and I must say the picture quality is "the dog's proverbials".I've also hooked it up with my Humax PVR9300T Humax PVR-9300T 320GB Twin Tuner upto 200 hours of recording, HDMI upscaling., the picture quality thru that is marginally better. There are so many user parameters to set for your personal viewing pleasure.I will go down the blu-ray route when the prices goes down to fully utilise the full-hdness of this sexy looking tv.
Invest while you can get this sammy at this price.
