Just a quick note to say, arrived within 2 days and a fine looking thing! didnt take long to get picture sweet(AV forum). My only gripe, one of the reasons I purchased this model was for the PIP but for some reason greyed out in setup menu? cant find anyway of enabling - please help anyone out there who can point me in right direction!!!

I bought this TV From Amazon for a cracking deal at 599, I did not have time to visit loads of shops veiwing lots of diferent set's, I just did my research regarding specification (what I should expect for top end picture quality) and this set ticked all the boxes, I then read the other reviews on Amazon and felt for the price it was well worth the gamble and I have to say it has paid off, I cant believe that for less than 600 I have become the proud owner of such a great set I would have expected to pay at least 800 for this picture quality.
I will not go on about what to expect regarding the pre set settings out the box, that has been done on the other reviews just have a tinker and you will be more than satisfied.
Ps. I really dont think the sound quality is that bad, it can easily be adjusted to suite your taste.

This is a fantastic piece of kit. After looking around for quite a while I found the picture quality of the Samsung TVs to be perhaps the best I had seen in a very long time, it i squite visibly brighter with a greater colour depth than even the Sony.
The built in speakers are the only thing that let this wonderful TV down, not that they are bad, just there are better out there. This is a minor issue as you will realy want to use a surround sound system to realy get the most from this great TV.

We had a long and tedious selection process for a full HD tv, and the Samsung A559P 40" tv came out the winner. The closest rival was the SONY V4000 40"
All the necessary features needed is included in this tv and the USB plug-in made the difference in our choice.
The features are all very good, and like another review the colour and settings needed some adjustment from the out-of-the-box settings to make it prestine ;-)
