great set once set up right September 8, 2007 R. Foster 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
we brought this TV 2 weeks ago, after a short chase for the delivery, the TV arrived, setup was easy, hit a small snag where this TV isn't intended for uk market its sound system is set to eastern Europe and once we tuned in the channels, the only sound we had was a static fuzz, but changing the sound system of each channel to system 2 instead of the default 3 soon fixed the problem. In conclusion this TV produces a brilliantly clear picture with great sound to match.
Great Telly - but not UK stock August 25, 2007 A. Ramsey (UK) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
No problems with the telly, but we questioned why the UK and / or English was not available in the set up menu for the country / laungage option. Amazon directed us to Panasonic, who have confirmed that our item was not intended for the UK market. Whilst this has not stopped the telly working in any way shape or form, I am disappointed that this information was not disclosed before purchase.
Panasonic TX-32LM70 - 32" Widescreen HD Ready LCD TV August 20, 2007 Mr. N. T. Gratton 8 out of 11 found this review helpful
This is a great TV BUT it does not have Freeview. Indeed it is not really intended for the UK market. I sent mine back as soon as I received it and have now bought the LMD version from another shop. Amazon do not make this very clear. However if you do not want Freeview due to having satellite or cable then I think you will be happy with this. Strange about the price increase though. Mine was 399.99.
Excellent Value For Money. August 16, 2007 dizzy_bim (London) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Set up was easy and the results are fantastic. Could have spent more money but quite honestly glad i didn't as this TV is great!
A true bargain August 14, 2007 S. Evans (Portsmouth, United Kingdom) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Having been looking for a replacement for my 10-year-old CRT TV for some months now I was taken aback to find this TV at 399. All the reviews I have read point to Panasonic as one of the market leaders in LCD and plasma screens. This TV is another fine model in Panasonic's impressive range. OK, it's the bottom of the range but it's still streets ahead of similarly priced TVs and better than many costing a fair bit more. You only get a basic analogue tuner and the refresh rate is a meagre 50hz but to be honest I've yet to find fault with it on that front. You need to spend quite a bit more to move up the product range with this being so cheap. If you move up the range you can get a better refresh rate (100Hz) and an integral Freeview digital tuner but if you already have cable or another digital source you probably won't miss it. I have not even connected using HDMI yet but I can report that my cable TV (connected via SCART) and my DVD recorder (composite) and DVD player (SCART) all provide sharp pictures with plenty of saturation and black blacks. My PowerMac laptop displays beautifully with a DVI to HDMI lead as well. The sound is better than I expected but if you want a TV this size then you'll also want a decent surround-sound setup and now I finally have TV that does justice to my amp and speakers. I'm not sure why the previous reviewer got such a poor picture quality - the range of connections on offer suggest he may not have tried them all. He may not have given it time to 'run-in' either. The colours on mine (now 3 weeks old) are now bright and vibrant in a way they weren't when I first switched it on. I would say: buy with confidence. Panasonic is a brand you can trust and the price is very appealing.
