 Very disappointing, don't be fooled by the Bravia tag October 7, 2008
I ordered one of these 10 days ago as LG are having difficulties supplying the UK with the 26LG3000 which was my first choice. Yes it has the usual good Sony features (reprogrammable Freeview, really great feature and amazes me that others don't offer it) and the Smart picture aspect feature.
However, this TV suffers from poor viewing angles - in particular this size is most suitable for bedrooms where you watch TV in bed and the TV is higher than your head. The viewing angles are really only any good when directly in front of the TV at eye level. To the side by more than 30 degrees, or higher/lower than the screen and the picture is poor.
The colour tones are disappointing, the blacks appear grey rather than black.
Most disappointing is the high pitched screeching sound that appears when the TV is on (whether on mute or not). When you watch the TV late at night, when it's quiet and you have the volume low, there is a constant screeching sound which is unbearable.
I thought I had a faulty set for this reason (and also the wake up feature - vital on a bedroom set - simply did not work) so arranged a replacement via Amazon (excellent service by the way, was with me in less than 24 hours and collection via City Link arranged). However, the new one has exactly the same faults. I am either very unlucky, or these faults are considered features.
I will be returning the replacement set and waiting for LG to sort out its distribution products.
It's a sad day when Sony's Bravia range is so effortlessly outclassed by an upstart like LG, but the truth is their TVs are better and more stylish looking.

Having watched my 32" Technika LCD bite the dust. One month after the guarantee(12months) was up! ie "No Picture". I wen't looking for another TV and having read the reviews on Amazon for this set, (although a smaller screen) and having looked at it in a local shop for 130 more!. I decided this was the one for me!. Easy to setup! "great" picture "good price" and!! hopefully last longer than 13months. I ordered from Amazon on the free delivery but! decided that evening to change to express delivery and my TV was up and running 2 days later. Well worth paying the extra. This! is a fine television at a "Good" price, you could'nt ask for more.

I have just bought this tv to replace my old Samsung and the difference in quality is amazing,in fact it takes a little while to get used to the clarity on the Sony it is so good and an absolute bargain at the price (I shopped around the local stores and could not find one for less than 500)It is very simple to set up and the sound quality is very good, what more can I say treat yourself to this bargain while they are still in stock, happy viewing

1. Amazon incredibly fast delivery - 1.5 days to arrive.
2. Opened the box and this TV isn't as 'slim-line' as a lot of LCDs. (But only a few cm difference)
3. I was a bit scared there was no ariel socket! There is, it's just well hidden.
4. Watching TV & DVD - Excellent quality picture and sound.
5. The Remote - Super fast response time when pressing volume/channels/menu buttons etc compared to other TVs.
6. Setting up PS3: Took me a few attempts, but after disconnecting and reconnecting the HDMI cable (tried it in both slots) it eventually worked. AND the picture quality is AMAZING for PS3. I had my PS3 hooked up to an LG LCD TV and this one surpasses the quality tenfold.
All in all: 9/10

I bought this TV 3 days ago and it arrived today. Brilliant TV - great picture and a snip for only 350 - this is the cheapest price by far I could find on the net for this great TV. And I got free P&P - even better. Based on my experience, i would advise anyone wishing to but a TV to buy it from Amazon.co.uk and not even bother looking in the shops or elsewhere on the net! (I'm not sponsored by Amazon!) If you want to know technical stuff then read the rewiew by Mr Pritchard - he seems to know what he's talking about!
