What can I say? I ordered one, it arrived - I powered it up and it worked. Straight on my network at home, really easy to sort out and simple to configure with the PC desktop software supplied.
OK its a server so it has no keyboard or mouse and no way to attached a display. You need to put it on a network and then install the supplied client software on your PC/Laptop. It then connects and you configure it via a simple interface.
Its great! I have it sharing data to multiple PCs in my house and I have even got it streaming movies to both my EVA8000 and my archos 605.
I love it!!!!!

Having received this, an immediate hardware fault - contacted HP support direct and they advised me a replacement would be the only solution (but they had no stock!)
Eventually a replacement arrived, solving the original problem BUT another immediately appeared (wouldn't recognise the system drive - all light bars red). Aha thought I! Replace it with the original drive that was awaiting return (the original fault unrelated to hard drive). BUT no joy - exactly the same issue, pointing towards a more fundamental problem.
So, my view? Avoid...
