I have to agree with the other poster. I have previously purchased much cheaper so-called replacement NB-3L batteries which have not even fitted my Ixus, as they were so badly made. The Canon batteries might seem over-priced, but they work and won't invalidate your warranty. Don't waste money on cheap batteries which might damage your camera.

Ok, its a battery.
well, one thing remains clearly in my mind about lithium batteries.
you've just bought a new camera. you wanted a spare battery, you saw one for 12 which was a copy, 12 or 20 for an OEM?
hmmmmm, you bought the cheap one for your new camera. weeks later, your camera emits a funny smell, a wisp of smoke and all of a sudden, you attempt to remove the battery to save your camera, and its stuck. (they swell up when shorted and can fuse themselves to the inside of your camera).
you send it back to the manufacturer, they remove it to see the remains of an non standard battery pack.
they will then refuse to repair or replace your camera. (you will find using Non-OEM in most cases will void your warrenty)
think about it, 200+ camera now scrap for the sake of 8.
this really isn't an expensive battery considering, older digi cams use AA batteries and using Nicad or Nmh rechargable batteries on anything is never a good idea! (i've known them personally to ruin torches!) and you'll get up to 300 cycles out of this pack which works out at just below 7 pence each time it goes flat.
for the sake of a broken heart if it goes wrong, buy an original.
least that way your covered.
