Brilliant player October 22, 2008 Heather This is a great little player. It is simple to use and easy to add music to it. I just drag and drop the music in windows explorer to add it to my player. It is great build quality, good battery life and a brilliant sound.
Long lasting September 28, 2008 R. GRIFFIN (Lincolnshire) The Creative Zen Vision:M was my second Zen product, and I'm very pleased with it. Though it's sadly started to pack up already, I'd have had it for near enough 4 years next month, and only recently started to have trouble with it. The video playback is excellent, and very high quality, as are the songs. The software it comes with is simple and easy to use, even if you've never used similar software before.
Pretty awesome, but has some reliability issues. September 18, 2008 Prickly customer (London, UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Firsty, I would like to say that the Zen Vision:M is a joy to use, with easy navigation between albums, and crystal-clear video playback. It possesses many intuitive and inspired features that just round it off into an awesome little package. For example, the 'artist lookup' feature is excellent: Listening on random and come across an artist you haven't heard in a while? Fancy listening to a specific track by them, or a whole album? Just hit the lookup option in one of the submenus and it'll take you straight to the artist in question. Genius. Another beautiful feature is the customisable shortcut button (the one on the top left) - You can set this button to do any number of different functions, from adding a library track to your current playlist (makes making playlists on-the-fly an absolute breeze), to choosing a random album for you to listen to. Battery life is laudable, roughly 12 hours continuous music or 4ish hours of video. The only caveat to this glittering review is the reliability, or lack of it. The Zen will stand up to a decent amount of punishment (one of my friends dropped his whilst cycling, sending it skittering across the pavement, and it still works (he's done this no less than three times btw)). However, I have owned two of these, and both have met their proverbial maker: 1) The screen broke, with no provocation. There were cracks throughout the screen but no apparent damage to the hard plastic that covers it. I checked online and a number of people have fallen foul of this 'exploding screen syndrome'. Naturally, Creative maintained that it was accidental damage and offered me a refurbished one for only 10 less than the retail price of a new one - thanks for nothing Creative. 2) Every other line would only show white, ok for music playback, but murder for video. This occurred only 1 month outside of the warranty period. Now the screen only shows white and I'm stuck with listening to only one album as I can't remember the directory structure off the top of my head. All in all, I'd recommend a Creative product, though possibly the new 32GB Creative Zen (which I myself have ordered as a replacement for my broken Zen vision:M), as hopefully they've ironed out the reliability issues.
Amazing piece of kit September 17, 2008 B. Sluzalek (England) Even though the Vision:M is quite old, you really couldn't ask anything more from a 20-40Gb media player. It's probably the last mp3 player in this capacity that will use a hard disk as storage. The sound quality is excellent, the screen is sharp, battery life realistically around 10 hours and the latest firmware makes it very stable. It supports wma files as well. Of course, you can get players that are lighter and thinner nowadays, but I was very happy when I found one of these refurbished and practically new for 80.
Well I LOVE IT!!! September 12, 2008 Lizzy D (Manchester UK) I'm not some techno geek, who has to keep changing to the latest gadgets, just someone with a variety of musical tastes who loves to have all music at her fingertips immediately. Again bought, purely because it isn't an IPOD, I have had it 2 years and it's great! I take it on holiday, with small speakers for the balcony, and headphones for the beach, I play it for a hour commute each way, each day, use it as my main music source round the house. Battery life is really good, it's flown me to Australia (as it were). I love it being on random, it brings up some classic song I had forgotten was on there! Nearly full now, and I am just so sad they don't make the 60gb any more, as I would buy it in a heartbeat! So, rather than going Apple, I am having to thin out some of the lesser loved songs, but with nearly 2,000 albums on it, I can't really complain!
