 Nice player, a few drawbacks September 3, 2008

Have been playing around with this for a few weeks.
Use is mainly domestic audio, piping output via bluetooth to a hifi.
Very well built unit. Seems to have a huge battery life. Great sound
quality over Shure SE210 earphones. Downside:
1. Touch screen is a bit fiddly to use. Selecting from a large music
collection (e.g. > 125 C/D's) should be made easier, e.g. it does
not do 'smooth scrolling'.
2. Samsung brag about their DNSe sound processing technology which does
make a significant difference listening on earbuds. THIS IS DISABLED
WHEN OUTPUTTING OVER BLUETOOTH however, the net effect is that anyone
planning on using this with a bluetooth headset will find they have
NO equalisation control, nope, not even bass/treble :-(
3. It can't receive FM and pipe it out over bluetooth either.

Received this yesterday from Amazon via Hughes Direct - great service all round. Please read all the good reviews on this site for the 4 and 8Gb models and the same goes for the 16Gb version. My first MP3 player and after reading as many reviews as possible on the web, I am really chuffed with (almost) everything. I downloaded the latest firmware and GUI software, games etc. There is just thing bugging me - there is a function called "Address Book" but when I try to open it I get "no file" - anyone out there got the P2 and solved this problem?
Summary: Great player, great sound and picture - well done Samsung!
