WOW January 1, 2009 C. Senior (Bradford, UK) I bought these last week and i absolutely reccomend them. The standard earbud style headphones wer always a problem for me, they were usually loose and never stable. Also my ears dont agree with the in-ear style either but these are a kind of mid-ground between the two. The first thing i noticed when i put them in is how comfortable they are, you will forget your wearing them, they are un-obtrusive and light. The sound quality is second to none, the bass is clear and vibrant, the mid tones are wonderfully warm and crisp and the treble is just right - not too much like you sometimes get with headphones. these are top notch for the money, they beat the standard ipod headphones hands down.
Look elsewhere if you are in a noisy environment December 15, 2008 K. Ng (London, UK) Generally these are ok. They fit comfortably into my ears and give an ok sound quality. I got them to replace the ear phones that came with my Sony Ericsson W610i Walkman phone because the replaceable ear buds seemed to detach and get lost on an annoyingly frequent bases. Unfortunately, the Sony MDR-ED21LP did not fair up to the ear phones that came with my phone. In comparison, they sounded tinny and had a distinct lack of bass and lacked that fuller sound that seems to wrap around you. Although it does fit well into my ears, it does not exclude any external sounds like the ambient noise from inside a bus, the underground and even general street traffic. It has a contoured profile that fits snugly into your ear canal so in theory should isolate you from the outside world. But, there are large holes on the outside of the ear piece, both on the silver stalk and the black circular case which tunnels and amplifies the outside noise. I could even hear people's shoes passing by. I guess if you turned up your mp3 player to compensate, you'd annoy anyone near you. Summary These head phones are generally fine if you only intend to use them in quiet environments. If you want to listen to music whist commuting, travelling around or in areas where there are an amount of background noise, then seriously consider getting the ones that have ear bud type design.
:) November 23, 2008 joanne duran (England) These headphones have lots of bass. They sound good when listening to music with little bass in it. Radiohead, muse, etc etc sound really good through these heaphones. Playing Dance music through these headphones causes the music to become distorted due to overpowering bass.
My ears are swollen November 15, 2008 Langdon Ulder (England) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
These are the most uncomfortable headphones I have ever worn, my ears were swollen for 3 days after I first used them, they are so uncomfortable. They never stay in my ears, they fall out whatever I do and the sound is muffled. Only buy these if you enjoy being in pain.
dont fall out. fantastic sound October 22, 2008 gari 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
i have always been put off by in ear headphones as they always fall out. my girlfriend had these for 2 years and i thought i would give them a go. i have now had a set over a year and they still have an excellent sound. i highly reccomend them
