Best mouse I've ever used August 16, 2008 I can't recommend this mouse highly enough. I've got a laptop running Vista and a 5G iMac and it works perfectly on both. In fact, I've stopped using my Apple mighty mouse at all. The build quality is superb, the USB dongle is impossibly small and slots neatly into the bottom of the mouse when not in use. It comes with a mini USB dock for computers with USB ports at the rear only. The added mouse functions are really useful, (back/forward buttons for faster Web navigation) and the mouse comes in a neat protective pouch. The whole package just oozes quality. I can't see myself ever wanting to use a different mouse. 5 out of 5.
Great for MACs August 5, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have a MacBook Pro with a MightyMouse - my advice is ditch the MightyMouse, Apple really should remove the word Mighty in name of misrepresentation. The Logitech is superb, smooth to use, responsive and versatile - I even use it for gaming on my PC... and it's so jaw droppingly cute it even matches the MacBook Pro for looks.
Not For Large Hands July 22, 2008 I've been using a Logitech Pilot infra red mouse for years, but thought I'd upgrade so that I could get rid of the large USB connection with wire and receiver that it comes with. I chose the VX Nano because of the good reviews and the small USB plug in. It is a good mouse and the tiny USB dongle is amazing. The problem is, if you have large hands and want to work continuously with a mouse it becomes awkward. Try a different Logitech Mouse, maybe the V450.
Superb July 14, 2008
Worked within seconds of plugging the receiver into the USB port, I cannot comment yet on battery usage yet but so far it lives up to the hype.
Scroller wheel gets sticky after a while July 14, 2008 I have been using this mouse for about 3 months now. So, I'm able to say few good and few bad points.
Pros: -The USB receiver is so tiny that I don't need to take it off from my laptop. -There is no lag or delay in response time -Very precise movement and control. With a little practice, you can cover the whole screen by moving the mouse within a 2cm by 2cm area on your desk.
Cons: -It might be too small for people with big hand. -Logitech software indicated that the first set of batteries would last about 6 months, but they died after 2 months. Average use was 8 hours a day. -The scroll wheel rotates freely with a slight push. This is very good to scroll through long doc or website. However, this can be annoying when working on Excel or Internet Explorer, because when the wheel is still rotating, if you press the control button, texts will be zoomed in/out rapidly. So, you need to make a habit of stopping the scroll wheel before pressing the control button. -However, after about 2 months the scroll wheel stopped rotating freely. There are numerous discussions in Logitech froum, but there is no solution to it. The rubber band around the scroll wheel gets slightly loose and it touches the wheel well while rotating thus free rotation is impeded. If you turn the mouse upside down, then the scroll wheel rotates freely. But who would use a mouse in that way? -The rubber pad below the mouse is not very compatible to all types of surface. You need polished hard surface like glass for best movement. But the optical device of the mouse does not work on glass. -There is a go-back button and a go-forward button - both on the left side of the mouse. I want to kill the guy who desinged it. You need to bend your index finger in an awkward way to press these two buttons. It could have been easily designed by keeping one on the left side and the other on the right side.
